My fiance and I were so happy to find this place. Especially with her being from Mexico. We live in Mt. Vernon and will make the drive for real authentic Mexican Food. When you walk-in to Tacos and Margaret's you can feel the authenticity. Other than the food, meeting the owner Gigi and the rest of the family and staff is a treat. I've been kind of disappointed the last 2 times I've been there. The foods been good but there's been a few issues with service. The meal arrived before our drinks were served, had to request silverware to eat with and inconsistent portions. Hopefully these were just isolated instances because the first 3 times we were pretty impressed.
First time here. Was impressed by all the positive reviews but had to check them out for ourselves......It was fabulous. Food and service was wonderful, absolutely wonderful. I had JICAMA TACO & my hubby had Just TACOS for dessert we had FRIED ICE CREAM AND XANGO! DON'T MISS COMING TO THIS PLACE.! And FYI, they have a sign as you come in that says "PLEASE SEAT YOURSELF" and also have ground beef....these were the only two slightly 'complaints' that were in the reviews. They work hard to please everyone and make corrections as needed.....
I ordered a beef taco some rice and beans. The food was excellent. Service was very good and staff was very pleasant. I have been here before and I will continue to frequent this place. Very nice place to eat.
I have yet to have a bad meal from here. Every meal I have tried surprises me on the amount you get for such a low cost and the creativity is mouthwatering to say the least. The staff is very friendly and down to earth. The margaritas have just the right kick.
I had the tacos de birria, and they were delicious, and good size, compared to other places. The service was great, the server was nice and paid attention to detail. I will come back if I'm in the area. I definitely recommend this place! ?
I recently visited after my roommates said it was an awesome place, and they were right! I try and make it a point to eat local, and they did not disappoint at all. The service was excellent even though they were getting slammed with orders, and they made sure to take care of me if I needed anything while I was waiting for my pickup order. If you need a sign to visit this place today, let this be it!
In my own experience the restaurant is a decent spot to eat the foods tasty cheap considering the portion size and has a calm friendly atmosphere plus they clean very thoroughlythere's only a few issues that I hadFirst being that they don't have beef for their tacos so it caught me off-guard generally speakingSecond being when you look in from the outside it doesn't seem that vibrant so at first glance I thought the restaurant was closed until I saw people moving inside so if the outside was a bit more vibrant and show the open signs a bit better then I'd rate higherAnd third is the entry way unless someone if in the front you wouldn't know weather to sit yourself of wait if there were a small sign that said seat yourself and we'll be with you that would have be great
