1) Staff has other things to do than serving you. Their friends at the bar are more important and will get a LOT more attention than you, as it should be because you are just there to buy some supper and spend money. Be prepared to get up and ask for more water/drinks when you need them, and also be prepared to wait about 30 min for just a menu before the server can pull herself away from from her pals at the bar.2) We got two sets of silverware for the five of us. No joke, Igot up and asked for more ( server was over at the bar hanging out with friends) and was told that was all they had at the time. I kid you not, we ordered food that we didn't need silverware for. when the food came, I told the server that we still needed silverware and she replied "OK" and went back over to the bar. After eating, while we were waiting for the bill, somebody brought out the much needed silverware to our table. That was a nice touch.3) After all of this this the food was just average. not great, but what can you expect when you get this kind of great service.4) I spent 119.00 on food and drinks in there last night. I will never spend another dime in that place until they get new management/staff. If you go there to eat a meal you will be about fifth on the list of importance. they should just go full bar and drop the dining part.

I am giving this place three stars for the nice view and the outstanding service we had from Ashley. She really is a super friendly server who really makes you feel like a valued guest. Unfortunately, our dinners didn't measure up. I had the cedar planked salmon. It pretty much was like a grocery store version (about a 6 ounce cut) that was overly cooked. The broccolini was rubbery and my Ceasars salad lettuce was average. I probably would not complain, but for $24 I would have expected it to be much better. My wife had the steak and blue. This was an okay dish, but it was a bit heavy on the blue cheese. That overpowered the tortellini and steak. The sauce would have been fine if there was less of it. It just covered the taste of the medallions and pasta. This is a place I really wanted to be good. The Iocation is great. Perhaps a sandwich would have been a better choice, or perhaps the walleye.

Not only was the food fantastic, our waiter, Matt was Amazing! I can honestly say he was probably the best waiter I have ever had. So friendly and just simply on his game. He made our dining experience an A++ ? Will definitely be back!

This is Lorain’s hidden gem on the Black River. We ate on their patio which we found to be a great combination of intimate yet open. The interior is an open nautical themed design that is spacious. Our party of four were very pleased with excellent food and cocktails. Our service was outstanding with a personable and attentive wait staff. Well worth a trip. Our first visit but it won’t be our last!

Absolutely the worst dining experience ever. Do not waste your time or money. The service was a lot to be desired. Very slow. A didn’t care attitude. Even had an attitude with us. The clam chowder soup had raw vegetables with no cream. . The baked potato was cold, and old. Inedible. The chicken nuggets were over cooked. The mussels were just plain awful, and no flavor in the broth. The only food item that was good was the walleye fish sandwich..It’s a shame appears to be a nice restaurant with ambiance. Needless to say we won’t be back.

While location and concept good, acoustics terrible and cannot hear my dinner mate sitting next to me....way too noisy ! Food ok. Server very nice and friendly. Probably won't be back

I'd love to give this place more stars, but they are only getting these stars because of our waitress. We had a part of 8 plus 3 kids. Waitress was prompt with our drinks. We put all food in at one time. We waited at least an hour and half for all food, including children's meals. Food was cold when we got it. My husband's meal was incorrect. The restaurant was not severely busy. Plenty of dining staff, not sure on the kitchen staff. We will not be back, at least with our children or any other friends. Our waitress/bartender was great and prompt! Would only return because of her. Building is cool and rustic!

went for the first time tonight with the family. for the first time in my life, all 4 meals went back. salmon was hard & burned (not seared), rice was mushy. steak on the steak & cheese was very salty; cheese heavily processed. sirloin tips had an unpleasant lingering after taste. won't go back. disappointing because it's a neat concept.

Our 3rd time their! Amazing! Love the atmosphere, food , beverages & Margie is a great bartender/ server… can’t wait to go back!

The Waitress was so nice but she was the only one doing the job...the other staff which was alot just stood there and talked. Also there was a staff member who actually drinking alcohol In front of her manager who didn't say anything.. it took a hour for our 1/2 sandwich and soup.. definitely would not recommend to Families
