Although a bus boy gave us water, we waited 10 mins for a waitress to take our order. When she did, we ordered the portabella sticks (tasty, good amt & dip was yum) for an app. My son ordered the ravioli, it was undercooked. I got the lasagna. It did not have ricotta. It was okay, not great. The sauce was a nice gravy. Our dinners came with house salads & we asked for ceasar dressing, which was delicious. For dessert, he got the carrot cake, which he liked & I got the tiramisu, which I enjoyed.
I used to love this restaurant, but after my experience last night, I'm done. I got the chicken parmesan and the spaghetti, and thought it was ok, but different than I remembered it. Long story short, I spent all of last night throwing up and in the bathroom. Something was not right with that meal, and now I have to cancel plans with friends and family since I'm too sick to leave the house. I think chicken parmesan has been ruined for me after this experience.
We absolutely love milanos! We’re new to Lima and it’s nice to have an authentic Italian restaurant with a lovely family behind it all! I’ve gotten the fettuccine bolognese twice and both times so delicious! This past Saturday I tried the salmon Limone with a side of Alfredo pasta and the sautéed veggies and it was sooo good I think it’ll start being my go to! My fiancé always gets the fettuccine alfredo with either chicken or steak and he loves it! Love that the salads are always fresh and LOVE the type of olives you use. We also always get the mozzarella cheese sticks and they’re a favorite of ours! All of the staff are very welcoming and accommodating as well. We’ll keep coming back ?
Great food and service! Highly recommend
A big thank you to Milano Cafe and especially Frank for helping make my Mom’s 90th Celebration so special. The food was wonderful and the service was excellent! I’d highly recommend Milano Cafe for your special celebrations?
Absolutely delicious. I don't think it's changed the interior in 20 years, but the food is perfect. Meatballs are huge, and pasta was cooked exactly right with a thick flavorful sauce. Highly recommend.
Our visit started off nice then went bad quickly. The appetizers and salads were good. We then waited about an hour and 45 minutes for our main dishes. Our drinks went without refills. When we finally received our food mine was cold and missing the steak (main part of the meal) my husband ordered a side of grilled shrimp with his meal but never received it. We made the waitress aware of the issues and she brought out my steak but argued that the grilled shrimp was cut up into pieces and mixed in the pasta (it was not). We had finally had enough and asked for to go boxes and our bill. At this time the waitress realized we were right and brought out the 4 pieces of grilled shrimp. I have never had someone argue with me about what we ordered. We spent well over $100 and it was not worth it. We definitely don’t recommend this place and we will not be back! I would have only given one star but the beginning of our visit wasn’t horrible.
They had a new cook, which is fine and understandable. However, both of our steaks that we ordered with our pasta ...were cooked to death. I'm only really upset about the fact that the waitress acknowledged that the steak was overcooked and asked if we wanted new ones (we didn't because we had already been waiting ((which was also fine but we weren't waiting another 20-30mins)). I said we would eat them (we did, soooo tough) I'm just upset that they didn't offer to at least take the cost of the steak off. We didn't complain and we still tipped but I probably won't be back unfortunately. Hopefully things get better.
You have to try this place, their jumbo Tenderloin and Fries are so good and when you see the size, I dare you to eat it all while you are there, we always have a take home meal, the cheese sticks are HUGE one order of 4 will satisfy 4 people and the fries are crispy and very tasty! And all at a very reasonable price!!!
Great evening, delicious food!
