I have been going here for 15+ years and it is always fun. Sometimes I take the kids, sometimes I go by myself and listen to music or a podcast. We all enjoy painting and having a chocolate frappe. Always cute things to paint and if you don't finish you can come back. I bough several pieces and couldn't finish them all in 1 sitting so I just go in when I have time.I highly recommend Art & Clay.
I have been wanting to go to Art and Clay for a very long time and me and my Boyfriend finally decided to go one day. We had a blast. We ordered some drinks and sat down and started painting. It’s a very simple system once you figure it out. I do believe more signs should be out explaining a little more of the process, or maybe it was our lack of observing. That’s the only negative I saw. It was comfortable and inviting. Staff were very nice and helpful. I will be coming again and highly recommend.
The prices are better than I was expecting them to be. This was a really good time for my wife and I. It is an easy way to kill an hour or two. Staff was friendly and helpful, even though the place was PACKED. We definitely plan on coming back, maybe with a couple nieces and nephews ?
Cute little place with a pretty storefront. My husband got an iced mocha coffee and it was so good. We will definitely stop back when we are in the area again.
My family and I love this little shop. We don't usually get snacks here (my kids are picky) but I've had coffee and the smoothies a few times and I'm never disappointed. The real draw of course is the paint your own pottery items. The staff here is always friendly and helpful, but they're not super in your face like other places. They let you do your thing and I've never once felt rushed or unwelcome! Even my youngest daughter, who is 3, has fun here and has asked to come back. The prices are really fair and they will take care of you if something happens to your pieces - the kiln fired too high once and an entire load of pieces was destroyed. It was unfortunate but sometimes things happen. We were given a voucher to completely replace what we had done and the staff even went out of their way to try and obtain another dragon exactly like the one my daughter had made. It didn't work out, but it meant a lot that they tried!!!Come here by yourself or with friends or family. You won't be disappointed!
I come here for the coffee the staff is always friendly, maybe one day I'll have time to paint something it sounds like fun. For now sadly I can only tell you the coffee is worth the stop. I recommend the Mocha cold brew it's what I always get. Though nobody I've taken there has had anything bad to say about the coffee.
I have been coming here for years and always enjoy myself! Whether I am grabbing a delicious cup of coffee or settling down to paint for a few hours, I know my time spent here will be well worth it! I’ve been coming here for 20 years now and won’t be stopping any time soon.
I have visited this establishment many times in the past during community events like art walk and chocolate walk, attended a painting class for a bachelorette party, and painted three items on three different occasions all while accompanied by my service dog. I have never had an issue bringing him in to this business until Chocolate Walk this past Friday. I would also like to add that I went into 30 other businesses that evening and no one else gave me any grief for having him.I am a type 1 diabetic. My dog is trained to alert me when my sugars go high or low. He was vested and well behaved when we went in. We were looking around while we were waiting to get the chocolate when I was approached by a staff member. She said "I have two questions to ask you and I'm sure you know how to answer them." This was said in a way that made me realize she had already decided my dog was not a legitimate service dog. She then proceeded to ask me the two questions that businesses are allowed to ask: is he a service dog and what service does he provide? I responded that yes, he was a service dog and he was a medical alert dog. She then asked "But what does he do?" I responded again that he was a medical alert dog. When she asked me again what he did I told her he alerted me when my sugars go too high or too low. She asked me again what he did. At that point I realized that she was trying to ask me what my disability was and I told her that she's not allowed to ask me that. She told me she was allowed to and offered to get the "paperwork". I'm not sure if she meant the actual ADA regulations or the company policy, she just said "paperwork". At that point I told my companions that I would wait for them outside as I didn't want to make a scene in front of people who were painting pottery with their families. She yelled after me several times as I was leaving that she "didn't ask me that question".I was very surprised by this treatment was I was always under the impression that Art and Clay advocated for people with disabilities. My sister-in-law and I were having a conversation about bringing out nieces and nephews in to paint sometime, but if this is the way I will be treated, I don't think we will. I hope Art and Clay takes the time to train their employees in the proper treatment of people with service dogs, and to not make snap judgements about people because their disability is not visible. This experience was disappointing, embarrassing, and stressful.
Cool place. You can paint something of your choosing and pick it up later. I think they also have art classes. They have a little cafe too which is nice. When you walk in, they have places to sit, and then when you pick something to paint, they have tables for it. They have some pretty cool things!!!
Absolutely love this place. It's great for film or date night. The coffee is amazing
