Absolutely amazing place the sound quality was superb but all the stairs you got to climb to get to the stage is pretty hard on someone if they've had knee surgery like my wife and if you want to smoke you got to walk all the way down those stairs and back up.... but besides that this place is actually amazing ...would be nice to have some stools for people with ADA issues
The Phantasy is under new ownership, and speaking from a photographer's perspective, I love the changes! It is still a very intimate concert Club, but now the lighting is greatly improved, and that makes a world of difference! The direction the new owners are going is great, and I hope the improvements keep coming!
Honestly, what *isn't* a highlight of the Phantasy? They've got pirate ships, photo shoot backdrops, clean bathrooms with gorgeous sinks, tight security, and fabulous bartenders. Oh yeah, the bands are pretty stellar, too.
Venue is great. An iconic institution of the west side. Words cannot describe my affinity for this place. Find a band your interested in and check it out.
Wow I haven't been to the Phantasy in many many years. Place looks a lot cleaner than it used to. Classic old Cleveland rock club. A place where they're not afraid to crank up the PA system. Tonight I went to hear my friend Louis play his last gig with his original band Hot Ham and Cheese. The band sounds great. The place brings back a lot of fun memories. The ship is still there. When you're there you really never sit down because there's not tables and chairs. Everyone sort of meanders to the center of the room. The speakers are on the left and the right side and if you're standing in front of them it gets really loud. Hey...... it's a rock club. That's what they do. I have to admit, I always like the place, and I still do. I liked getting to see a new generation of people making rock music at a great old time Cleveland rock club. Keeping the traditions alive!!!
I love coming to The Phantasy. I've been twice now and each time is a treat. Lots of fun times to be had there and great music playing all the time. Definitely coming back in like 2 weeks for Counterparts best band ever!!!
horrible venue. layout is horrible. bar service was horrible. They had the merch booths back in the hallway with the restrooms. If you're even thinking about going to a show here, dont, its not worth it.
Not my favorite show venue. Very hard to hear the vocalist from the back, couldn't tell if it was because the band's mix was bad or because of how the venue is set up. Drinks were quick, staff seemed very friendly
Creepy, crazy good time.
