They have a rich and delicious chai latte. The lady working was very friendly - she gave me a tip that they sometimes have special pastries for holidays!
I was pleasantly surprised on my first visit last week to find that Blue Cafe serves Phoenix Coffee - not served in other shops in the Lakewood area. They also have a nice variety of bakery. I'll be back soon.
Judy hosted us and it was absolutely lovely. It's quiet and homely. You can't get this experience from other places. I love it.
Nothing looked good at home for breakfast and I had to run out anyway and I remembered my son had said this place had muffin or bagel sandwiches along with their coffee & tea offerings - so I gave it a shot. Right off, the person behind the counter, Kate, was extremely nice, friendly and took the time to go over what they had to offer. I got the bacon, egg & cheese muffin along with a Earl Grey tea (I'm not a coffee drinker) and everything was great. While I was waiting for my order I wandered down to see they had other sweet things and got a couple of oatmeal raisin cooking to take with me for later. The place was very clean and there seemed to be a steady stream of people walking in to get various coffee's so I gather the coffee must be good (I believe I heard Kate say they used Phoenix brand coffee) Overall a wonderful experience and I have been back already and will do so again in the future.
Great coffee... No surprise since they are using Phoenix ? and the Baristas are ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. Also, a great place for Breakfast sandwiches.
I enjoyed my iced latte, half and half, plus one more shot. The staff and the atmosphere was great too. I could focus on my work and had a good time here.
Great place to stop by and get some work done. I'll be back!

Formerly Playgrounds cafe, The Blue Cafe is really a hidden gem in Lakewood and for that matter in north east Ohio.This place has a super relaxing vibe with great prices to match. If you're looking for some quality coffee and a spot to hangout this is for sure it. Not to mention all the yummy pastries they offer from the surrounding bakeries.They just had their grand opening but I've been here a few times during the soft opening and it's been a great experience every time.It's a must visit if you're in the area, I'm telling you.
