Very attentive and clean staff! Meals are delicious. So many wines to choose from. Also many beer and cocktail choices. Beautiful well stocked bar. Very highly recommend this place. It's an experience, not just dinner.
One of the best spots in the area. First, you can sit on the patio overlooking the river, which is beautiful. If the weather won’t support outdoor dining, they have a great dining room, although I prefer sitting at the bar.They have daily features that aren’t on the regular menu, and their custom cocktails are amazing. Also an excellent bourbon selection. Great place for a drink on the way home or a special night out.
We went on a Saturday around 5 pm. Barely had to wait for a table. If you go they don't take reservations for under 4 people so I would recommend getting there early. The view on the pationis gorgeous so try to get an outside high top on the water side.Everything on the menu looked excellent but there appetizers all looked appealing too so we got the hummus crudite. Everything in there was scrumptious. They have a wide variety of beer on tap and a huge wine selection. You can even purchase some in the little market.Highly recommend!
Fantastic. Absolutely fantastic!!!!! Had dinner and had THE BEST SALMON DINNER IVE EVER HAD. I loved the staff. Cleanliness and everything!
Food is delicious, wine and beer menus extensive. Staff very attentive. We did not have reservations on a weeknight, but were able to sit at the bar for dinner. Patio is opening soon and we love it. We frequently get our meals takeout and they travel well and come home still hot. On request they package ingredients separately (like tacos) and it makes a great difference. Just a great place to eat or drink!
Amazing atmosphere, food, and drinks…they have weekly specials on both food and drinks…patio has a great view and is a great place to relax, or have a great night out with a large group. For as amazing as all this is, the staff is the reason I frequent River Merchant as often as I do!! Everyone is so nice and accommodating! I’ve taken multiple here, and everyone has always wanted to go back! Bartenders can make whatever you want, and the drinks are always spot on! Definitely a 10/10…if it’s your first visit come this summer and sit on the patio…but make sure to make reservations early enough as it’s definitely the place everyone wants to sit when it’s finally nice in NE Ohio!!
Food and service were both awesome. They have a nice wine selection as well. Restaurant is very clean .. they were very up on sanitizing.

What a great little restaurant in a college town. It has a sophisticated menu at decent prices - this is not your burger and fries type joint. The deco is very modern. We went during the winter months so is capacity wasn't great we had about a 45 min wait - but i saw there is a patio so I would think its a great spot to each outside. The food we ordered was great! Great spot for a dinner date or not necessarily recommended for young kiddos but good for family dinners with older kids.
