What happens when there are more than a few things you want from a menu? Just order them all and hope for the best. And order them we did at Chef Jeff Crowe at Erie St. Kitchen in Kent Ohio. We ordered, in no particular order, Lobster Roll, Deviled-Eggs, Gumbo, Jambalaya, Goat Cheese Balls Cajun Cheese Curds. With a. Side of Cardiologist. ?. All of it was elevated from “bar food” by the care that Chef Jeff and his staff put into the prep. Located in the historic Venice Cafe in Kent. This should be a “must try” on your destination food trips.

My wife and I were wanting to go somewhere we had not been before. I saw Erie Street Kitchen while doing a search of restaurants in Kent, OH. We arrived at about 5:00, which turned out to be the perfect time. By the time we were finished and leaving the place was packed. We were greeted when we came in, and told to pick a seat, and that menus would be brought to us. A waitress brought us menus, and took our drink orders. Another waitress came and took our order. The food arrived quickly. I ordered Blackened Catfish, and my wife ordered Shrimp and Grits. We also got a side order of Pimento Mac n Cheese to split. Both of us enjoyed our food. I would definitely go back again.

Good ingredients, well prepared and flavorful.

Last week I had the fried alligator and today I had the burger it was all really good i especially loved the alligator I wish it wasn’t seasonal I definitely recommend coming here for a good meal!

Had the fried alligator never had alligator till now it was good and the service was great loved the gumbo I definitely recommend this place!

Dirty forks, ordered Guiness asked for glasses since it came in a can. Server brought back wet sloppy glasses with a dirty look. Ordered fried green tomatoes and hush puppies., both had no flavor. Server never came back to check on food, never questioned why all the food was left on the plates. Terrible experience.

Some of the best Southern food I have ever had! Owner Jeff is super friendly. The Nashville Hot Chicken Po' Boy is fantastic. Would definitely recommend!

It's very hard to find a place that offers more than 1 or 2 options as gluten free. This place offered 99% of the menu! They had a wide array of appetizers, meals, and desserts to choose from. I had the gumbo, which was really flavorful, and my friend had the tenders, made with gf flour with a traditional buttermilk fry, so it didn't have the odd texture other gf tenders have had. My friend was so excited for the gf tiramisu, he got extra to take home! Well worth the trip, we will definitely be back.

The food in this place is THE BEST in this area. If you haven't given it a try, why not tonight for dinner? You will not be sorry!!! Try the Beet Salad and the Lobster Roll. My 2 favs!!

The food is so good! I love the southern comfort food menu! Had the chicken tenders and mashed potatoes and it was so delicious! The portions are good size and great prices. Can't wait to go back and try more delicious menu items!
