I found it, I finally found it. The original A-Gild!! Even though they've been there for 10 years. When I was a kid living on Arlington Street. we used to get our pies from this place. They moved out from South Street in Akron to the place they are at now. The best pizza pie,left Akron. I drive tow truck for a living I was going down county road 18 and I saw the original sign I immediately pulled over got the phone number, Google them, and the best thing I've ever read was this is the original sauce from Akron South Street. I was very excited, so today I went in stopped in first got a menu had to do a tow, my wife was with me today. So I said hey we're going to get a pie for dinner. call them up,told them what I like. went there a couple minutes early to talk. the granddaughter of the original owner her grandfather is running it now..I was Talking about how I grew up on this pie since I was 10 years old I'm 46 now. The granddaughter was a very nice lady, polite her husband super cool just friendly as can be both of them. Smelling it and the aroma of the place took me back to when I was a kid waiting on the pie. Asked a lot of questions,both helpful. I was more excited to know that they use the original sauce recipe .Got the pie drove back to work locked the shop up for the night couldn't wait to get home to eat it.got home, first bite oh my God!! Everything was like the old days original gravy and sausage was great they use old style pepperoni, cheese was excellent ,pizza pie was cooked just right, this place is a five Star Pizza place. I wish they weren't so far as they are, but I will drive myself there all the time when I want to pie, I got my mother liking it when she was alive, my wife loves it, my kids love it. Can not say enough about this place the best pies in the world to me. To the young lady and her husband you guys are doing a great job keep the place going. They got great food clean environment, you get your pies fast, homemade sauce, they make their own sausage, I just can't say enough about the place I will be a lifelong customer. sorry this is so long but like I said I can't say enough about it, so if u want a authentic pizza pie ,good chicken just everything is great there cuz when it's homemade it can't get any better then that.and when you get people that care about how they make their food, and how it tastes, you know you're going to get a good product. Again five stars,great job guys!!!!

Holy cow….this pizza is good! You can tell these owners use good quality ingredients and know what they are doing…try it!

Good tasting pizza would've liked more sauce and cheese though but still worth trying out.
I have had pizzas in Frisco, Chicago, NYC, DC, Cleveland, Rome, Italy, and nothing compares to the excellence, the pure deliciousness of A Gild pizzas. Been eating them since 1961! They are unsurpassed! so glad they are still with us! They are an Ohio treasure.

Came in today to pick up pizza and wings for a family birthday get together. Abe would be so proud of his granddaughters! Food was fabulous!
