I couldn't be more honest. The service and food were terrific. The bartender was full of tips and comments. We had the Ruben fish sandwich and the pecan ball for dessert. The bartender was great she kept our adult beverages filled.
Stopped by yesterday for a couple of drinks and it was made immediately clear that we were not welcome. We sat at the bar and were there for at least 10 minutes before we were even acknowledged, though several people were offered more drinks and orders were taken from people who sat after us. Once I ordered a bottle of Budweiser, I still waited while several other people were asked/served before I was given my drink. I finished that drink in about a half hour and was never acknowledged again until at least an hour later when we were ready to leave (because we were never offered water, food, or another beer). Though *our* service was absolutely garbage, it seemed the bartender- Miranda, I believe- gave excellent service to everyone else. She laughed, joked, shared drinks with them, and even commiserated and bad-mouthed managment with a few of the patrons.... All while we sat with an empty drink with no offering of more. I understand these folks were likely regulars, but because of the service we received, not only will we NOT be, we won't ever go there again.
The manager (Chris-female) is never available and when she is asked to show up at a table she leaves. She has never shown respect to the regulars who patronize this location on a daily/weekly basis. Her lack of communication has always caused a lot of issues with staff and locals who frequent this restaurant. A change for the better has been needed for a few years but obviously she must have inappropriate pictures of upper management that has kept her from being fired for not managing this location.Doug, Miranda and Jimmy are keeping this place a good place to visit and Chris needs to be replaced ASAP.
The award winning fish and chips were amazing, great service as well. However as much as I asked they would not put nails in my food
The fish and chips were excellent. Also had the French onion soup which was delicious. It feels like a place where everyone knows everyone. We'll definitely stop again when we're in the area.
Good food...fish and burgers. The lobster bisc and NE clam chowder. Old building..old established business in historic down town area.

Food is pretty good typically especially the seafood. I am livid about the service tonight. Waitstaff and other workers sitting at their own table in the bar on a Sunday evening and I couldn’t get a water refill or dessert for my wife. Cannot get my check. Horrible. I live in Hilliard, I am from Hilliard, I know a lot of people in Hilliard. I won’t be back.
Food was delicious and service was excellent. They are understaffed due to the pandemic, but I barely noticed. The fried mushrooms are stupendous.
