This meal was a big disappointment. I was really excited about getting some barbecue with the usual yummy sides but Dickeys didn't deliver. The place itself was very dirty and in need of a thorough cleaning. I got the brisket, polish kielbasa sausage, BBQ beans, and baked potato casserole. Unfortunately I didn't enjoy any of the items at all. The brisket had an odd aftertaste, the kielbasa was very greasy, the BBQ beans tasted like them came out of a famous family can, and the casserole was bland. I hope that you have a better experience.
Went there today mid-afternoon and met a lovely mom and high school son working there (son is very mature). The pair were lovely to meet and their customer service was awesome. I will assume they are the owners as they have a very vested interest in the business. Food was good and prices are reasonable. Would love to be serviced by them again.
It has its up and down days it seems. One day potato big as a softball next day tennis. Ribs tasted dated not hot. Great kielbasa!
The customer service here is great. The good of course is really good as usual. The staff takes it over the top with their willingness to help and answer questions where they can. Furthermore, a military discount is offered and a a veteran I support businesses that support me so I highly highly recommend this location!
Wow. Not what I expected. Brisket was ok. Best if it was hot or at least warm. Turkey was tender but not warm. Rolls, don't waste the time on them. Mac N Cheese isn't made there. It's out of bag. Could've bee. Better hot. It's out of a bag. It has no excuse to not be hot. Potato salad was ok.Disappointed
First impression, not great. Let's start sides, Barbecue beans came straight out of a can. They weren't even doctored up or anything. Give Bush's the credit. Mac and cheese, the Bob Evans that you can get out of the grocery, give them the credit. 3 meat plate, the ribs were dry and tough, the pulled pork was decent, the brisket was good. I was excited about the Dr. Pepper sauce, but was underwhelmed. The sweet is much better. Not sure I'll be back.
The employees were very friendly . it was my first time visiting . very clean environment but my food wasn't that great. Burnt ends were just fat baked beans were very dry (old) potato salad was good. Spent $16 on 2 sliders 2 sides and a drink . the portions of your sides could be a little more for the price you charge . I will stick to what I know.
The food was cold and bad.
Want a little food with your salt? This is the place for you!!! I want to like it, but tiny, tiny portion sizes are my main complaint. My pulled pork was more like a slice off a pork roast. Not tender or “pulled.” Lots of salt, little other seasoning. Most smoked meats have a “bark.” Crusted seasoning on the outside. Not here. I also had a kielbasa. It was maybe 2/3 the length of a regular hot dog. The “dinner roll” was like a puffy communion wafer. Side dishes come in containers where the bottom is elevated up into the container so it holds less than it appears.I’d rather pay more and get a full dinner’s worth of food. Instead, the meal is disappointingly small.
Definitely worth it, I’ve had the pulled pork, loaded baked potato with brisket (it was over loaded potato, huge! and they didn’t skimp on meat) and chicken sandwich. Way better than city bbq. Baked beans are on point, and my picky kid even ate their Mac n cheese. I’ve only tried the Carolina sauce but it’s really good. I live 6 miles away and the food is still hot when I get it home. I highly recommend this place.
