Best food and service we’ve had out in a long time.
SERVICE WAS GREAT ? FOOD WAS EVEN BETTER. I GOT THE PATTY MELT. IT WAS SOO GOOD. EXTRA CARAMELIZED ONION, AN EXTRA CHEESE. A LITTLE ADVICE THOUGH IF YOU GET THAT SANDWICH MAKE SURE YOU EAT IT WHEN IT'S FRESH THAT WAY THE BREAD IS STILL CRUNCHY CUZ THE BUTTER WILL SOFTEN THE BREAD WHAT'S IT COOLS DOWN A LITTLE AND IT'LL BE A SOFT SANDWICH NOT A CRUNCHY GRILLED CHEESEY SANDWICH
On Mothers day morning we stopped at a competitor and like nearly all places (of course) the wait was more than an hour for 2 and everyone was stressed, grumpy, rushed and rude. I told my boyfriend, let's go up the road to Frisch's and give it a shot. I have never been so impressed. I've worked in the service industry, I know the "mess" going on behind the scenes but you all literally kept it behind the scenes. Everyone was rushing around like ants to keep customers happy and moving and doing it with a smile. The place was packed but you were making it happen - with no wait! I told several of them as we passed by "Yall are kicking a$$!" Which got a chuckle. I'm sure most of them have families at home they'd rather be with but you couldn't tell. I saw them helping each other and that is unique to how things are these days. Our server Amanda was specifically amazing. I can be hard to please and she didn't make it seem hard at all. She was patient when I had questions (though I'm sure she had other tables and heck maybe hasn't had a bathroom break in hours). I ended up decided to add on a to-go meal and I apologized for taking so long and she was so polite about it. She helped me pick out food for my mom and which meal made the most sense. She stopped by often (somehow) and kept our drinks full making sure to see what else we needed. The actual food was delicious and fresh and the bar stayed full the entire time we were there with people running in and out filling things and being polite and patient to get to the bar the entire time. In the past 2-3 years its truly VERY hard to find even decent service because of many factors. Whatever yall are doing keep up the good work! And tell Amanda we said thank you! I go out for the experience more than the actual food and she made it a really enjoyable one.
Over the years the quality of this restaurant has fluctuated. The last few times I've visited there weren't any issues. I usually order a big boy with onion rings. Always topping it off with a diet vanilla coke. I used to love getting the breakfast bar although I haven't heard anything about that recently. The pumpkin pie is wonderful too.
I can't blame the child, I can only blame bad parenting and bad management for letting it go on, the child ended up injured, then management gives them a free meal. what the freak?
The menu has changed, but in a good way... the food was so good and the people was so friendly and the atmosphere was inviting... I also noticed how they have a new coffee distributor. The coffee was fresh and more robust and strong. I absolutely loved the whole experience... I had to buy some coffee packs to go ☕ by the way, our server was outstanding.
Our family had the best experience with Samantha today. The food was also much improved from our last visit. Thanks Samantha! We will definitely ask for you next time!
Service is ABSOLUTELY horrible. Made an online order, walked in to pick it up, there was about 7 ppl standing at the front counter(managers included) and it took a good 3 minutes for someone to finally say, "Umm, can I help you?" Having worked in full service restaurants for the last 20yrs, I had $5 cash in my pocket to tip the take out person. Needless to say that $5 stayed in my pocket
My sandwich (big boy) was way over done and the bun was stale. This is not the first time my bread was stale. It happens quite frequently. My fries were also cold. I rarely complain, so I just pushed my plate to the side. The waiter took my plate away and never even asked why I wasn't eating it. My mom's food was apparently okay, as she ate it, so we just finished up and left. I still left a 20% tip, but will not be visiting again any time in the near future.
Very clean. Food was delicious. We ordered breakfast food although it was lunchtime. The salad bar was well stocked, so we will return for that. The waitress was friendly, helpful, and efficient.
