This is the new spicy chicken sandwich…no pickle chips no garlic aioli no brioche roll just chicken on white bread

I've always been a pretty big fan of Panera Bread but of course lately, just like many other restaurants, things have gone downhill. My daughter gets to Caesar salad and suddenly she's been getting salad with Leafs instead of the regular Caesar salad, and they don't even tell us about it until we get it. I got the tomato soup and grilled cheese, they told me they didn't have American cheese so I got the cheddar and they charged me for the cheddar even though they didn't have the original cheese!? the service is a little shaky, the prices are absolutely outrageous of course, but that's like any other place now. The atmosphere is not too bad, I sit down and work on my computer but when you have to literally pay a fortune for a breakfast sandwich it's just not even worth eating. I'd rather just go in there with my own food and sit down, but of course I can't do that...

My mac and cheese was cold, and when I told the girl at the counter she pointed me to a microwave. Why did I have to microwave my own food? It should have been hot already. She told me to microwave it in front of a group of other customers too, so apparently having to heat your own food is something that Panera isn't ashamed of. It must be commonplace to have to microwave your own food there. Not sure why my meal costed $12.99 if it wasn't even going to be heated for me.

Stopped in to get a quick smoothie because we were visiting a store near by. Shelves were bare and there was a lot of staff but took awhile for the order to be taken, I asked if they had any cookies (daughter loved her chocolate chip cookie) checked out and then waited at the other counter for the smoothie. After a few mins an employee was staring at me like she didn't know why I was standing there and I explained I was waiting for my smoothie. She asked multiple times which one I ordered and then kept yelling across the store to another employee to see how to make the smoothie- it did not taste at all like it normally does. It was also a smaller cup so I paid $9.18 for a kids size smoothie and a chocolate chip cookie. Panera is overpriced as is, so when quality is smaller poor tasting - I just don't see myself back for awhile

We went to Panera for lunch with our college student granddaughter today. The menu on the wall was confusing and difficult to read. The prices were not well-marked. I decided to go for the Pick 2, which I remembered being a good deal. My husband and our granddaughter followed suit with the Pick 2 with different selections. We each had water to drink. The total bill was over $45.00!!!! When we got our food, we noticed that our granddaughter had a whole sandwich, which we paid for. I chose an apple for my “side”. It was about 1/3 the size of a normal grocery-store apple, and it had a 2” diameter rotten spot. I took it to the counter. The girl took it, tossed it in the trash and continued what she was doing. Most of the employees seemed “angry”. My sandwich -the chicken salad one, was 3 small slices of chicken with a half slice of tomato. That is NOT chicken salad!!! We used to eat at Panera regularly. We will not be returning.

i’ve been here twice to pick up a doordash order. both times, i was ignored until i one said something or two when one of the employees felt like asking if i’ve been helped AFTER the line is gone. i literally stand there and stare at my order sitting on the counter. it takes 5 seconds to greet and hand me my customers order. it’s like these restaurants think they can treat dashers like nobodies. i wouldn’t spend my own money here.

Food was ordered and served very quickly and tasted great! It was super busy and we still had amazing service. Alexis was so friendly and helpful. She suggested a great sandwich! Thanks Alexis!!

I've been in lots of Panera's in many different states. The prices are a little high, but the food is generally made to order (I'm not sure you can call soup poured from a plastic bag 'fresh'), and the restaurant is clean, well lit and welcoming. This was unlike that by a considerable margin. The overall restaurant screamed 'run down'. The lights over the kitchen area were uncovered which I suspect was done because the covers were too 'used' to let light through. The counters showed clear areas of wear and this was consistent throughout the store. The whole cafe was dimly lit. The lemonade containers looked like they needed a good scrub - not necessarily dirty, but if I was in charge of that area I would have them soaking in hot soapy water or even replaced. The butter pat were not out. On the more positive side, the staff were friendly and helpful and solved problems when they were brought to their attention quickly and professionally. The whole thing seemed to be poorly managed. I would not go back there again!

Place always has new faces here so I assume they’re constantly re-training folks with high turnover as it takes forever to get any kind of special coffee drinks made. Took 20 minutes to make a plain bagel and vanilla latte. Go to Starbucks, it’s quicker and surprisingly cheaper.

January 28, 2022 I place an order on the app to be pick up inside the store.1) walked in and my order was not ready. Thats ok i had a few minutes to spare.2) was advised by the very nice lady at the register that it would be a bit longer than usual since they were prepping orders for a group of high school kids. Again not the store fault. As a result, they were not taking orders at the counter.3) I waited and waited and almost walked away since I was already running late for a meeting as a result.4) very nice lady at the counter checked and said “they are about done with the groups of kids order and yours is next.” At point there was at least 6 people in line waiting to order food.5) They completed the group of kids orders. The register started taking orders and the people in the back started prepping my takeout online order. I saw that a young girl ( 17-18 yoa female white) completed my order and placed on a counter and yell something. I can only assumed she was yelling for the lady at the register to get my order and hang it to me. But she couldn’t because she was the only one taking orders and at this point 10+ were waiting. While the people in the back were just standing around (remember they stopped taking orders until they finish the larger group order).6) i decided to walk towards the back counter and and told the young lady (female white) as i pointed at the brown bag with my name on it. Can you pass me my food i’ve been waiting a while. I said this calming. When a young heavy set female back suddenly said “ AND YOU CAN CONTINUE WAITING YOU DONT HAVE TO RUDE ABOUT.” As she grabbed the bag of food and literally threw it on the counter for me to take it. She must have thought that i was trying to be rude. I was not and my tone of voice was that of a calm individual. I was embarrassed for her and for the store. I understand that they had just finished a large order and were probably exhausted and stress out. But that does not justify this young lady talking to me in that manner.7) worse part about this whole thing is that i call panera corporate office that day and spoke with rep who was very nice by the way. He was able to pulled up my order using my panera account. He stated that he elevated the complaint to the local store management and took my phone and email for them to reach out. Today is Feb 2, 2022 and i have not heard a word from them and i probably wont. So, i decided to write this so what happen to me does not happen to someone else. Just stop buying your food at this place…not worth it since they clearly support
