I had my second ever date of my life at George House amongst the books and cozy nooks. Whenever I would be in break working at East of Chicago I would go to George House to get my coffee. Not just for the coffee, but for George House. This place is no longer George House. Rebrand with the remodel and let the memory of our favorite coffee shop burn with with what you have done to it. This place is not George House. Just get your coffee somewhere else.
If you only buy a single coffee bring cash because they don’t charge under $5. My latte was just not good, way too much milk for the espresso. I’m bummed because this place seems pretty cool, but I’m headed somewhere else
Can't wait to see this venue when the remodel is complete!Hope they still have some of the intimate little nooks they had before!This is still one of my favorite places when it comes to coffee drinks! Worth the drive or put on your itinerary for a shopping trip to Findlay!
The remodel has completely taken away every ounce of cozy atmosphere that George House used to be. It feels like the inside of a boutique rather than the coffee shop. Huge downgrade from the coffee house we all loved and cherished.
I’m really disappointed in the current renovations. I used to love George House for the atmosphere and it’s a big reason on why we would keep coming back. We haven't been here in awhile due to weather (maybe 2 months) and when we came back today we almost thought we entered the wrong building. The new renovations make it look like every other coffee shop now and not some place special and I’m beyond disappointed
The coffee is great. But it’s essentially an overpriced Starbucks now. The atmosphere is gone, and there’s no reason to sit and enjoy yourself here anymore.
The coffee may be the same, but the niche charm of the small-town bookstore and coffee shop is gone after a recent remodel. If you’re looking for decent coffee and a generic, white-washed seating area, then this is fine. But it’s no longer the cozy hole-in-the-wall that it used to be. I’m a local student who has visited the shop for years, and this is one of the saddest things I’ve ever seen. At this point, just go to Starbucks, it’s cheaper and has the same vibe.
I really miss this place so much !!!It has been almost four years since the last cup of coffee I got, and I still feel like today!!The place is fantastic, and the coffee is the tastiest in the world

This coffee house is a center-point of the community. I went here consistently throughout my undergrad years, and it's days like today where the weather is waxing to fall, that I miss being seated by the window with the heat fogging the view to a rainy night. Their tea always left me feeling comfortable, and their food was always perfect. If I ever come back, this will be the first place I return to. Hopefully during the fall.
