We paid $34 for two people but let me tell you it was worth every penny! The food was hot, it was delicious, and BIG portions. You definitely get what you pay for. There was only two people working in there but the food got done quickly and the counter guy brought it to us with silverware and all. Very kind and again, the food was delicious! This is a must try place.
This is easily the best barbecue in the city. I don’t know how I’ve not been here until now but WOW!! Awesome owner, amazing food. We got a family meal and a few extras plates of meat. Everything was juicy, tender, and flavorful. House sauce is just delicious. You can tell everything was made with heart. The owner was very kind, personable, and great to talk to. Thanks again! Definitely will be returning soon.
This place definitely is worth it. I don’t eat pork this the only place that doesn’t have pork the staff are really nice and friendly and the will even bring your food to your car definitely a 10/10 especially their Mac and cheese and yams!
I think they made really good food. I got the chicken sandwich and really enjoyed it, the breading on it was crispy and flavorful. I'd go again and get something smoked. My husband got the brisket sandwich and it looked so good it was stacked with meat. Everything came out at a reasonable time and was super hot so you know it was made to order. Staff was friendly and everything was really clean including the bathroom. 10/10 would eat there again.
A surprising little find.It is a small, hard to notice restaurant that has some good and surprisingly affordable brisket sandwiches. They also have a chicken shawarma that looked really tasty but supplies are limited on that; once it's gone, it's gone.I recommend their brisket sandwich and jambalaya rice.
Everything I've tried is awesome. The meat is the star of the show. The only thing that could be better is the French fries. I like seasoned fries. I will be back to try more things on the menu!
Really good fried chicken wings and flavorful smoked chicken wings and beef ribs! Unfortunately, they have been out of (what I've heard are great) smoked turkey ribs the two times I've visited (Dec. 2021) due to what the proprietor described as a holiday turkey shortage. Another positive though are the sides. I've had the baked beans, collard greens, and mac and cheese here and they were all superb. I imagine the other sides and menu options are also above average at least, but I haven't had a chance to try them yet.The service has been great, although this may have been partially due to the fact that both times I've been there I was the only customer there. That being said, it's still a ~15 minute wait to get your food. I didn't mind a bit, but it's something to keep in mind if you're in a hurry. There are about 10 4-seat tables for dining in and takeout and call-in orders are available. Word of warning, the bathrooms, at least the men's room, was seemed to be clean but it smelled like an open sewage pipe was right behind a wall. The stench is nearly enough to make you lose your appetite, but after you walk out with your food and the sweet scent of smoky BBQ fills your vehicle's interior... all is well with the world.
My husband and I are certified master judges with the Kansas City BBQ Society. We get pretty picky about what we consider good BBQ....and let me tell you, this is some good BBQ! We got brisket, smoked turkey, and half smoked chicken. All was top tier! No pork served here, but with how good the other meats are, you won't even miss it!

Good food. Generous portions. Weird they didn’t have pulled pork. But the chicken and the brisket and the sides were yummy
