Have always loved this place but not up to par today. Our hot dogs were gray like they sat in water all day. And I had to pay $1.50 extra to get condiments on my hot dog!!! I paid $6.25 for a small dish of fried cauliflower and although it was delicious I think the prices are way too high!!! We won't go back due to the prices vs the quality which is sad because I don't want this business to go under
The staff is very friendly, the wait time from when we placed our order and got our order was short. However, the prices and portions are way out of touch. My fiance and I went there just today. To say sticker shocked over a 43.00 bill for a burger place was an understatement. Don't get me wrong I don't mind paying higher prices for quality, but when I am left feeling like I really could have bought and made this at home for cheaper is a disappointing feeling.
Ordered a pizza burger. Got a dry hamburger with nothing on it. No pizza sauce, no thin piece of pepperoni. Nothing. How is that a pizza burger? If they know it comes that way, why not offer some condiments so it isn't dry? Why called it a pizza burger? ?? No pizza here. The owners reached out to me and explained how the food is considered a pizza burger. I appreciated that and have changed my review.
our most favorite drive up good stop. BUT BOY have they jacked up their prices and VERY DIDAPPOINTED that our LARGE RROT BEER WAS NOW SERVED IN THEIR SMALLER MUH, BUT HIGHER PRICED-- AS is their onion rings as well ( over $1 each onion ring and order gives you 7 onion rings-$7 just for them!) Won't be able to stop as regularly as we are seniors on fixed income andvthat meal cost us as much as Red Lobster shrimp dinner & small steak!!! sad about this!'
Tried this place out for first time today and we will definitely return to try additional menu items. Really appreciated the large selection their menu offers, and the girl who served us was friendly and helpful.We got two coney dogs, jalapeño poppers, and deep fried banana pepper rings. And of course, a quart of root beer.
Great place to enjoy a car side meal or tasty treat! Great service and well priced! What more can you ask for?
Ate here 6/12/21 around 1pm. Coney dog and Mac n cheese were excellent. Texas burger so so. The sauce they put on it just was not my favorite. Really good root beer in a frosted mug! Server was not mean but not friendly either. Perhaps she was just having a bad day but I would like a little more courtesy from staff in order to want to keep coming back.
For the first time in over 50 years I was disappointed. I told my carhop girl that my root beer was flat and she did nothing about it. She could have offered me another or something else to drink. To get 2 coney dogs , onion rings 2 root beers cost me $27 and I gave her a $5 tip. She could have at least offered another drink. I did not drink my root beer. I have been a loyal customer for over 50 years.
My burger was overcooked and crispy, and the root beer was super flat. But the fried mushrooms were divine and the waitress was really nice.
We love it here and have been coming for 20 plus years but the prices are so high!
