This place has a very solid fan base, and based on my experience they deserve it. Their menu is extensive. The Rainbow roll passed the fresh seafood and quality sushi test (10 out of 10); the Dublin roll was high quality, but a little bit less exciting (7 out of 10). Yoshi's has turned me into a dumpling guy. The Ebi Shumai (shrimp dumplings) are a heavenly bite. I'd come back for those every time! The Negi Wonton are also excellent, soaking in some flavorful juices. The Yakitori set is a simple, but quite enjoyable appetizer. Yoshi's is a little pricier than the average local sushi/Japanese spot, but nothing crazy, and totally worth it. I'll for sure keep visiting and exploring more of the menu (noodle/rice dishes). This is the best Japanese spot I've been to in Dublin -- a local gem!

Seems like you can find sushi just about everywhere, most of it however no beter than what you can get at the grocery, Pass!Good sushi starts with good fish that hasn't been sitting around. Great sushi comes someone that takes pride in what they create. This place is special. Some of the best sushi I've had in a long time.

Traditionally, sushi restaurants have limited hours so they can provide only the best ingredients for their customers. Yoshi's is only open 5-9 and gives us the freshest. What a wonderful find in an unlikely location, a simple strip shopping center. But don't be fooled by the location. Inside are all kinds of delights. With a reservation, you get a private dining space, simply decorated, with attentive servers and a gentle atmosphere. Even those at the bar will experience an enjoyable time with the same attentive care. We sampled from the whole menu and were not disappointed. Pricing made a long evening affordable. Dumplings exploded with flavor. Sashimi combo was perfect. Sushi tuna, salmon, yellowtail, shrimp, without compare. The small plates menu let us pick asparagus Goma-ae, octopus, and a tempura mix. The saki made the meal complete. We could have gone on indefinitely, but finished with a sweet bowl of green tea ice cream. We will return.

AMAZING. I haven't had good meal like this in a long long time. Everything I ordered was unbelievably delicious. Thank you so much to the staff and Yoshi-San for being there. ありがとう ?

I was surprised when I picked up the order, i have 8 orders but only given 3 boxes and clearly do not look right. I was told that’s all my ordered when I double checked. Then I received a call said I have more. Less than one star for hair on the sushi。

Updated 1/2022: Take-out experience during COVID is horrible. Have to stand in a long line waiting for my pick up even though my food was available when I came in. There is not a dedicated Take-out line. Servers are not efficient, they just ask whoever is first in the line, take them to the seat, and take their orders, without even asking if there’s anyone in the line is just picking up the food until you become the first in line. There’s no social distancing during the 15 min wait. The owner should think about a better way to reduce the wait time for the pick-up.Original comment in 2018:Authentic Japanese food. Great experience!

Came here with a Japanese friend and wow this place is amazing. I got to experience a lot of different food. Very good.

The quality of the seafood rivaled what I ate when I lived in Japan. The otoro: melt in your mouth. The uni: straight up dessert sweet.

Excellent sushi. Most beautiful tuna and salmon we’ve seen and tasted in a long time. Short wait to be seated, but well worth it. Will return. Minor opportunities for improvement: 1) Edamame was overdone 2) People at the table were served at different times.
