First time visit on a Monday night. I really wanted to like this place as the atmosphere is cool, the staff was very nice and the drinks were cold. The problem was the food. The French fries tasted like they were cooked in old oil and the cheeseburger had the consistency of mush. A better meal could be found at O’Charlies. I would go back for drinks, but would not eat there again.
This tavern is located in the quaint Historic district of Dublin where many of the structures are labeled as Historic Landmark Registry properties. Indoor and outdoor dining are available options. Wide variety of food choices from salads, sandwiches and full entrees. Close quarters inside the section that apparently once served as the Dublin Post Office circa 1960, but tons of historic charm in the decor. We tried the Irish BBQ Burger, the Classic Cheeseburger, the Blackened Salmon BLT, and the Club Sandwich. All were scrumptious (if a bit messy). Definitely worth the stop for lunch or dinner. We were so glad we found this place!
A great place to eat after a long day at Columbus Zoo. Friendly staff, delicious food, really nice atmosphere in a cute town!
My wife and I were in Dublin to visit the Columbus Zoo which was great. We got done mid afternoon and decided to catch a late lunch at Dublin Village Tavern. I'm glad we did. Bethany our server was very nice. We had a couple of drinks and my wife ordered the Mediterranean Hummus and I ordered the baby Cheeseburger. We weren't going for anything big since we were going out to dinner later. Both excellent choices. My wife loved the hummus platter and took what she didn't finish and ate in the next day. The baby cheeseburger was the best thing I ate in Dublin on the trip. Great place. Great food. Great service. I highly recommend a stop there.
The ambience is definitely worth it. Has a local pub kind of vibe that's just fun. Extensive menu for mixed drinks, beer, spirits, and wine. Our group had the kettle dinner, shepherd's pie, and a pub burger which were all very good. The kids' menu leaves a bit to be desired. Ordered mac and cheese for my 5 year old, and the menu did clearly state it was Kraft, but what came out definitely looked like it had been made some time ago and then reheated. It was quite dry. The French fries were very good so he ate more of those.
The best fish and chips! My husband got the sliders which were just as delicious. Highly recommend.
excellent experience & great service ‼️ thank you
I live in the area and I'm not sure why I've never been here before. This is a textbook American Irish pub, and I mean that in the best possible way. Love the atmosphere, it's small without feeling tight. Guinness gets poured proper every time and the food was Delicious. I had the fish and chips which was a monstrous portion. Two large beer battered perfectly crispy pieces of flaky cod. The fish tasted fresh and clean and came with a mound of crispy fries and a side of creamy coleslaw. Oh and make sure you try at least one of the Irish egg rolls. So damn good!!! I plan on making myself a regular here
Beautiful old building! Great food and service. It was a highlight of our visit to Dublin.
The food was amazing and so was the atmosphere. Such a cute spot! The bartender was super helpful and very friendly, will be back again soon for the egg rolls and cannot wait to try the dill pickle Bloody Mary!
