There are lots of places to get good Mediterranean food in Columbus, but this is by far my favorite. The beef shawarma is my go to, and it is perfection: from the spices used, the tahini, to the bread this sandwich is better than any other shawarma I’ve had in town.We ordered catering from here yesterday and it exceeded our (high) expectations. Every single thing we ordered was delicious, and all our guests agreed.The owner and staff are very friendly and welcoming. I would (and do) recommend this place to anyone!
Food is very good but you need to plan ahead of time as they are busy with orders. Price of some of my favorite dishes have rose by over 30% in last one year so we visit less frequently.
The chicken Shawarma is seriously one of the best things I have ever eaten.I’m not exaggerating either, I’ve ate more than my fair share of shawarma and this one is the new front runner.Everything from the boldest of spices to the most subtle of spices were 100% on point, the rice felt like a warm hug, the salad tasted like it was fresh from the garden, and the texture of the chicken was exacting.Go eat here! This is a tiny hidden gem of Mediterranean joint with delicious food served. Freshly prepared Falafel with the Tahini Sauce and Hummus will blow your taste buds with flavors. Half Chicken with Rice, Shawarma, Lamb Kebabs and Falafel is a very good start to try. Do not miss this place if u wish to try some Mediterranean style of tastes On Sawmill Rd. Hummus, Tahini Sauce, Shawarma, Kebabs, Cucumber Salads. Do not miss to Grab a bite of the world famous Baklawa.
Food is so flavorful and great portions. The staff is so friendly. Every single thing I’ve tried is delicious, especially the desserts! The baklava triangles are heavenly. Stuffed grape leaves were very rich so I would suggest adding one of their salads or splitting it with someone. All the meat, rice, and salads were so fresh.
I am middle eastern, and this is the most authentic food I have found in the Columbus area. Everything is made from scratch and absolutely delicious. The number of other middle easterners at the restaurant tells you how good it is in our community. Reminds me of my grand-mother. Easily the best falafel in the state.My only complaint is that the falafel is served over rice, which is not traditional in the part of the middle east where I come from.The owners seem to be from the gulf states, where this maybe more the norm. I just don't know that style well enough. Still delicious though.
We absolutely love Food Hamati! We've been multiple times now and every time the food is delicious. The last time we ordered we had the hummus, falafel, grape leaves, meat shawarma plate and the mix shawarma plate - perfection! We've also had their fatoush salad, gyro wrap, fries and the lamb kebab cubes. Never disappointed when we eat here!
This is small Mediterranean food joint. But everything here was so so so delicious!We had falafal, chicken shawarma warp and chicken kafta wrap!Everything was perfect but Kafta wrap was beyond that!That’s a must try dish here!I’m big fan of baklava but never found perfect one until I had from this place!Tried pistachio baklava and I’m going to stop there very soon for baklava!I would definitely recommend this place and we would soon return!
Good gyro wrap and baklava but both were a bit dry though.
If you're looking for good shawirma and falafel, this is the place to go! I have never tried falafel and my friend wanted to have authentic Middle Eastern food so we tried Food Hamati, it was delicious! The grape leaves are so yummy. They are so friendly and welcoming, We highly recommend it here!
