I was there with friends from out of town to celebrate a birthday. The hostess seated us right away to a table that sat right underneath the air-conditioning deck and was dripping water. They went ahead and changed our table after we asked. We spoke to the waiter and was informed that yes when itâs hot it has been dripping. The sad thing is is they went ahead and seated somebody else at that table after we moved. I ordered the fish and chips and a Stella I asked for the Stella to come first and then water with dinner. The water came first the Stella came after I had my meal already started eating. Then I asked for vinegar to go with my fish and never received. I have eaten here before and never had this kind of service. It kind of saddens me that I that I might not be able to call this might go to place in the future.

Slow greet, slow waters, longest cocktails ever, apps a little Slow and rest of meal was ok. This was a random Monday in Dublin. Server comped 3 apps which sort of saved the meal. No managers, no table touches. Dessert to go was meh. Cap City is a nostalgic place and menu for me, but not sure Iâd go back after that. Too many good restaurants, too many options.
Everything was great for a catch-up lunch with a friend. Kylie was attentive without being overbearing.
The service was amazing! I had a very enjoyable experience. Our food was all great! Except for the banana cream pie. The pie was awful. But other than that my experience was great!
Love Cap City. Great service and food. Little sluggish service this time that is unusual. Easy to schedule a reservation.
We tried this again after a complete disappointment back in February... Tonight was our anniversary. Again, our server was awful, inattentive and rude. When we sat down we waited over 8 minutes to even get water. We had to ask for the rolls which are complimentary, the server didn't offer us any other beverages and he didn't check on us when we got our food. He passed by us often and waited on his other tables. When it was time for the check he tossed the check onto the table and when he returned with it 7 minutes later, he again tossed it on the table and walked by. I asked to see Lauren, the manager, and never saw anyone. What a waste of time and money to celebrate a happy occasion. We will not be returning to this restaurant again. This is twice now that something special was ruined due to lack of effort and care on the staff.
Food is good for what it is. Took too long to get it, not staffs fault - sat night. Save your money and try pearl, harvest, condado.
Absolutely awesome food and amazing service. Cap City Diner never disappoints.
Party of 5 was cramped into a booth when we really wanted to be seated on the patio. Food was served erratically, plates for two of the party were served 10-15 minutes after the others in the party. No apology even. Service was generally only fair. We are not normally very critical but this was below usual Mike Davis standards. Virg mathias
