Dave and I love to find local diners on our travels. Today's did not disappoint! The Hamburger Inn Diner was established in 1932. This little place is frozen in time and I am here for it. 3 horseshoe counters which I loved. They have beverages ranging from hand spun milkshakes, bloody mary, to draft beer. Their breakfast looked amazing. The guy beside me had pancakes and eggs. Our food was delicious! We both got 1/4lbs burgers which is their smallest ones. I can't imagine having the other 2 larger sizes. Too much food for me. The service was excellent also. Will definitely return when in the area.
I really wanted a GOOD burger, so I looked online for good places near me and the internet did right by me. So good, perfectly cooked to my specs and a toasty bun. My hubby is vegetarian and so many places have nothing for him. But the veggie quesedilla was great. Will def be eating here again. Yum!
Okay dude straight up the food here was pretty good and it's right in downtown. I came the day after the art festival so they was low on product which is understandable but I'm not going to hold that against them. The afternoon staff was real nice and friendly and the burgers were delicious and that cinnamon bun was amazing+ I don't have any complaints and plan on coming back in the future.
This place has some amazing food, the place is small but the quality is incredible. The people are pretty nice too. I would always recommend this place. My favorite is the Rueben omelet
The hamburger Inn has delicious food, fun atmosphere, and great service. Today, Angela was our server, and she was very accurate, kind, and courteous. We really enjoyed our lunch on their front patio. The mushroom and Swiss hamburger was delicious!
What a great little place for breakfast. Old style diner set up, quick and delicious. Very reasonably priced
This is a great local spot. The breakfast is quick but quality. Lots of regulars but also welcoming of new people. Also if you can snag one of their cinnamon rolls, make sure you do!
Super fast and friendly service! Portion sizes are huge too. Just what you want in a neighborhood diner - I can see why this place has been in business so long! I got the Reuben Omelet and it was delicious!
We were driving back home from a weeks vacation and my husband wanted to try Son of Thurman. It was about a 20 minute wait which was fine until they told us we had to wait outside in the freezing cold with snow mixture and our 1 year old daughter. It was because of covid and I under stand that to some extent, however no one was wearing masks in that entire restaurant and there was a family in there waiting to be seated. So we went outside and I looked across the street and saw this really cute burger place which was the Hamburger inn diner. I called over to see if they had any open seating not realizing it’s all counter seating and asked The young man if they made people wait outside . His response was oh goodness no. I said okay we’re across the street we are on our way over.As soon as we walked inside the young man new who we were and got us set up so quickly. Had this very cool kid chair that attached to the counter. He was so incredibly kind and gave us the BEST Service! The staff was so friendly and I loved how you could watch them make your food right there in front of you. Our food was delicious and our little One loved her cheeseburger. The atmosphere was great.,I’m glad the other place told us we had to wait outside because if they hadn’t, we wouldn’t have gotten to experience this little gem of a restaurant. IfYour driving through or live in this area and haven’t been, I highly recommend this place. We will be back for sure!!!!
Great little nostalgic hole-in-the-wall diner. Great breakfasts, lunches and dinners. The burgers are some of the best around, and you can watch them come right off the grill. Great iconic local restaurant that has withstood the test of time.
