Great service, beverages, and food. Coffee and tea have been made quickly and correctly every time, and the staff is very friendly. The environment is cute and has local art in the back to browse while you enjoy your drink. But the real winner here is the scratch-made biscuit sandwiches. Holy moly the cheese and egg biscuit sandwich is GOOD. And not just “good for a quick bite” good . It’s “drive out of my way to get one of these biscuits” good.
I have been using Fresh Start for a few larger functions and ordering from their catering menu. It has been a wonderful experience! Leigh is very responsive. They will deliver and provide plates and utensils for you. Not only is the food delicious, but they make the event run smoothly since that is one thing I don't have to worry about!

Always a good experience at Fresh Start! Picked up one of their chocolate, two layer, six inch, round, valentine's day cakes with buttercream frosting (pictured). Never been disappointed here and this was no exception, absolutely delicious! It's nice that they have on street parking in front of the store, but they also have a rear entrance that opens to the public parking lot behind the store.
This was my first cake from Fresh Start. I ordered a custom cake for my mom. I had someone pick the cake up for me, so they didn't look at the cake when it was picked (fault of my own). The cake was decorated in blue and white. I told the order taker that the cake was for my mom and to decorate it towards her (I thought they would decorate it in pink and white instead of blue and white but again I should've been more specific, so this is a fault of my own). When we were eating the cake, it was dry. I picked it up the same day we ate it. Not sure if it was made a couple of days before the scheduled pick up? The next day we ate the leftovers, and it was dry. The butter cream icing didn't taste good. I was extremely disappointed with the cake overall, but the staff is nice. For $32 I thought it would've been a lot better and at least not dry,

Love this space! The coffee is great and the employees are very kind and helpful. The patties are also quite good! We tried the strawberry chip scone.

Neat little place in Downtown Delaware. Charming.
Stopped in for coffee and tried their biscotti. The anise biscotti was large and thick. It went very well with my coffee. Not strong on the anice though. The service was friendly and speedy for my takeout order. I will be back.
