I’ve heard nothing but great things about this place, so I went today for lunch. I arrived around 1225 and left after 1pm with no food. When I first arrived I was greeted quickly and received a menu, then I guess I was just forgot about. Finally, the employee remembered I existed and took my order. I really wanted to try this spot out, so after my order was finally taken I still sat there for at least 10 minutes before leaving. I’m Air Force and work on WPAFB so I had to get back to work. I ended up being late waiting for food that never came. I’m not going to lie, now I’m sitting at my desk frustrated and hungry. Lesson learned.
While visiting the Dayton Ohio area we stopped at the Root Beer Stande. I saw that it was the Retro Old Fashioned Curb Service and it was Hot Dogs and Root Beer what a wonderful Nostalgic foodie adventure.We pulled in and the waitress was there "Toot-sweet". I ordered 2 Hot Dogs with Chili, Mustard and Onions. They do not put Cole Slaw on the Dogs here I also ordered a large Root Beer, which I was hoping was HOMEMADE but not..Tony had his own Beverage of Choice in the car already.The food was good! The Chili or sauce on the dog was very good but the onions were strong from being a little old maybe a day or so. But I would eat here again, strong onions don't keep me away!!! I recommend this nice little Mom and Pop Retro Foodie Adventure!!!

We went for lunch two days in a row. The first time we both had a custom hamburger (single patty) with bleu cheese, bacon, raw onion, and mayonaisse. Plenty big and absolutely delicious. The burger was so juicy, it soaked through 3 napkins I had tucked into my shirt collar. The regular root beer is a wonderful "homebrew." We were filled up but not uncomfortably stuffed.The second day we both ordered the standard Reuben. Very large sandwich cut in half. Good flavor but would benefit from a bit more thousand island dressing. I could only manage to eat half of the sandwich (took the other half home where it reheated well), but my partner ate all of his. Partner had a root beer float and remarked how well the soft serve ice cream stood up to the root beer and stayed consistent throughout. I had a soft serve cone. Really excellent ice cream. It doesn't melt and drip all over the cone, while simultaneously being super creamy. Flavor is a good vanilla.Highly recommended. We'll return to try more items.Keep in mind they do NOT take credit cards. Cash only.

Been here a couple times and have not been impressed. It's a Dayton staple, but for those who love fattening greasy, deep fried heart attacks. Oh, and IT'S CASH ONLY. They don't tell you this until they bring out your food so be prepared. Won't be back sorry.

Sorta high, but the hot dogs are worth it. Root beer is wonderful. Staff is friendly. Wish they would get better dipping sauces. That is there fall back.
Rodeo Burger & Teezers1/4 fresh burger patty w/onion rings, bacon strips, lettuce, tomato & bbq sauce on a toasted bun & teezers of deep fried breaded hashbrowns w/ cheese & diced jalapeño's.The burger was great, very filling and flavorful, I love the teezers, I get them everytime, soooooo good.Def check the place out, alot of great options.
