Staff were friendly. They messed up my order twice. They refunded me. Quality of the burger was not what I was expecting.This applies to two DoorDash orders as well. They never got my order correct. Something was always missing or just wrong. Have condiments at home just in case.
This place obviously has employees that just don't care. On numerous occasions, they always mess up the order and not just a little bit. A double avocado burger with extra avocado ordered that doesn't get any avocado, or other toppings. Missing a smash fry, smash tots swimming in a puddle of oil. A shake with out the requested chocolate added. All of this just on one trip. The last half dozen trips we have gone always had something wrong. We will not go here any more and if you want to actually get what you order I wouldn't suggest this to restaurant to anyone.Well we broke down and tried Smashburger again this past weekend (6-25-22) and they did not disappoint! The regular tots were crisp and flavorful and the burgers were made correctly. Although the avocadoes were a little too black/dark brown and I wish I could have added onion straws to my burger. I'm still hesitant to give anything higher than 3 stars right now, but if we continue to go here and the quality stays consistent, I will adjust our review.
The burgers are good. The fries are OK. The service is terrible. The door was still locked when I got there. When they finally open the door it seemed like a hassle they actually had to do their job. The guy at the register just stared at me. No can I take your order or anything. He handed me the order without a word. I said thank you. Still nothing. One of the worst restaurant experiences ever.
The burger was okay - certainly not as good as other burger specialty places. In fact, I might have rated it lower except the fries are pretty awesome. I really liked the spices on the smash fries. But probably not enough to pay that amount and have to deal with the mediocre burger.Service was kinda slow too. They're only saving point is that the cashier was very nice and friendly.Plus the day I went it was insanely hot inside. I'm sure the unseasonably warm temperature was a surprise and the location is such that the sun was streaming in raising the temperature even higher but waiting for my food was not pleasant.All and all, it was okay but just okay. If I was starving i might get it again but given all the other (better) options around there, I doubt it.
We waited 40 minutes for food, they were fully staffed. Food was cold when it finally arrived. Handwashing not happening, staff touching cell phones then the food. Resturant and tables dirty. Worst dining experience in Dayton.
I should have listened to the most recent reviews. I would not recommend this establishment. A worker asked what our order was again after we paid and left the ordering counter. Unfortunately, the order was still incorrect when we received it. Management must do better continuous training is needed all around.
The good: the staff were nice and food was good. The bad: there were 2 people in front of us and 2 others who had already ordered when we got there. It took 35 minutes to get our 2 hamburgers. I kept hearing over and over staff talking about doordash orders, it's like that's their priority not the people in the restaurant(probably not the staffs fault they probably told to do that). Also people who ordered after us were getting their food before us for some reason, I almost thought they skipped our order somehow. In any event it should not take 35 minutes at a fast food place. And a sorry for the wait would would have been nice too or have a drink while u wait js. Also it was not a staffing issue there were 3 people working and 2 more employees came in 5 min after we got there.
Great burger and good black bean burger! They have a decent gluten free bun for my burger. Good guacamole and great smash tots. They workers were courteous and friendly. Very pleased for my first time being there!
Used to be great.. 30 minutes for 2 bad burgers... Better off hitting a drive thru.. BTW I don't often do negative reviews, but this was soo bad I had to this time
Placed a carry out order, large smash fries and double bacon brisket burger. Patiently waited 30 minutes to find that people who ordered after me got their food before me. I get home to find that I only received a single instead of a double. Tried to call the restaurant on three separate occasions and still no answer. Wasn’t able to leave a message due to the mailbox being full.
