Cool, super chill bar. Comfy couches and lots of dart boards. Bartenders are nice and they have a decent selection of beers and liquors.
Place is beautiful and drinks are good! Staff is questionable!! As a "white" woman I haven't had any issues and didn't think about this but my boyfriend who is a different race was completely ignored when he was trying to get us drinks! However this did happen a few months back so it had been a while and the bartender came up to me and asked me if I needed anything. Which I didn't understand why she ignored my boyfriend. I did have a guy friend who's black who has dreads and was told that he couldn't be served. Not really sure what's going on here but it definitely seems like if there's some race issues. Please be aware of this
I will definitely be back to support these owners. It's a great spot to play darts. I've always been a fan of the red, black, and white themes. Definitely a vibe of it's own.
This is a great hidden bar! Its Soviet era themed in both design and drinks. Drinks were delicious and not too pricey. They gave several areas for seating and even a darts area. The bar area is somewhat small. They serve mostly drinks only. The only food item on the menu is some pretzels so be sure to eat before coming! There is a small area for parking which is nice.I was very impressed with this location look forward to coming back!
If you’re a fan of Century Bar, the Vanburan Room, or Tender Mercy, you’ll probably love this place. Excellent (and fun named) cocktails. The vibe was so entertaining. The interior decorator did a fantastic job. Don’t let the uniqueness scare you away. It turned out to be our favorite part. We may choose it over or old favs next time!

My favorite bar in the Dayton area, I only like to drink vodka so it is nice to go somewhere with so many different flavor choices, and they change seasonally. I recommend this bar to all of my friends and anyone who is ever asking for recommendations. The decor is beautiful and so unique and the staff is also so nice.

Red Star is an incredible bar with impeccable taste and the friendliest staff. From their posh dart boards, to their dark atmosphere, to their infused vodkas - Red Star is the place you want everyone to know about. It’s all in the details. Can’t recommend it enough.
I have been to Red Star a few times and I must say, it is nothing short of amazing. The entire concept is well thought out, so detailed is the interior that I thought I had been transported to space race era Russia. The drink menu and concepts are fresh and incredibly thoughtful. These all pale in comparison to the incredible humans that work here. Few times have I ever felt more welcomed, safe, and happy in one spot. Red Star can accommodate a couple of drinks after work or an upscale evening out with friends. Good times, great drinks, wonderful atmosphere, and first in class people. This is a refreshing and amazing place, go say hi today!
