Forgot to bring my lunch to work today, and now I am SO glad I did. Found Lucky's in the area and ordered lunch to go. I was waited on immediately and courteously, got my food and was on my way in 10 minutes. The staff were friendly and the dining room and bar was clean and comfortable.I ordered the Felafel sandwich with fries and it was to die for. I saw several other things on the menu I'm really curious to try, which as a vegetarian doesn't happen often. Will definitely be coming back!
Great place for good food! Their jerk chicken sandwich with braised greens brought me here and I was NOT disappointed - very delicious. The bartender was quite congenial with a great sense of humor and the place itself was well-kept and comfortable. It also has a convenient parking lot that's shared with Trolley Stop, which can be a bonus if you enjoy both establishments. This would be a great option for a low-key afternoon lunch with a friend or coworker. Highly recommend!
This place is awesome. As a vegetarian it is sometimes hard to find a good place with vegetarian options. This place didn’t just have one or two options, their whole menu was littered with great vegetarian dishes. Most can also be made vegan too. Pictured is the jackfruit Reuben. Very tasty. They also have a nice beer menu as well! 10/10 recommend as a vegetarian! Thanks for having so many vegetarian friendly options.
SUNDAY LUNCH: Arrived at 145 pm and was informed that brunch menu was until 2 pm but if we wanted to wait we could order off lunch menu at 2. We opted for that and our fab server promptly showed back up at our table 2 on the dot! The kids ordered chicken tenders and grilled cheese (comes on rye so ask for the Texas toast/white bread) wherein the moms ordered burgers. I ordered the Lucky Burger as it comes minus blackened and was NOT disappointed. Never knew slaw on a burger could be so good. I paired my burger with the braised greens and it was a perfect combo! If ever in Dayton again, we are eating here! Very daytime family friendly.
Small downtown spot with great food. Wait staff was friendly and went above and beyond to ensure an excellent experience. Lots of beer on tap and an extensive menu. A handful of parking spots on the side of the building that can be accessed via an alleyway behind the restaurant.
The service was wonderful. The guy who served us made us feel like we were good friends who stopped by for a bite to eat. I just knew the vegan options were going to be slim pickings, but that was quickly shut down when the menu popped up. Food was great, but chili was cold. I didn't like the microwave option to warm it so I opt to take it home. The bar was a super plus. You hardly ever see vegan options at a bar and bar food is my absolute favorite. We will be traveling back for the service and food.
Went for brunch with a buddy and was extremely surprised at the food here. Got an omelet with coffee and hash browns and it was DELICIOUS. Bar staff was on top of their game, always had fresh coffee. Will definitely go back. Awesome experience. Thank you.
Their food is overpriced and not that good. I had to pay an extra $2.50 for bacon on my salad and there were a few little crumbles. They had an outdated menu that featured something they longer had. They didn't warn us that a simple side of mozzarella sticks would be 7 huge hunks of cheese, each one bigger than an egg roll. For a small salad I ate half of, some cheese sticks we didn't even finish one of, and 2 sodas we spent $40. No thanks.
This place is a gem! Great beer selection! And, the food is WAY superior to standard pub fare. I had the goat cheese BLT with sweet potato fries! Outstanding! PLUS bartender Matt was welcoming, friendly, and top notch. I will definitely come back whenever I’m in Dayton, OH!
Always excellent food, beer & service at Lucky's. Love how many delicious vegetarian options they have. They ought to expand from being Lucky's Taproom to being Lucky's Taphouse, in my humble opinion.
