My husband, myself, and my father in-law went to KD’s for the first time yesterday since moving to the Dayton area. The service was wonderful- friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The main courses were good (pulled pork and the fish), but I wouldn’t say they stood out to me. The sides were a bit mediocre.. the mac n’ cheese was more like a very lightly buttered elbow noodle. However, the chocolate cream pie and other desserts were ?! I will definitely make another trip sometime and give a chance to another dish.
The service and food at this restaurant are ALWAYS off the charts amazing. It’s the closest thing to a home cooked Southern meal I have found in the Miami Valley.Tonight my wife and I had broasted chicken and french fries. No surprise to me, the food came out piping hot it was absolutely delicious. We did have a new server tonight, which is a typical. But she was amazing just like every other person who has ever took the time to help us in this restaurant.I cannot recommend them enough. We’ll be back soon! THANK YOU!!!
Really great bbq. The fish and shrimp were lightly coated and really good also. We were very pleased and will go back

We loved this little place. We both had the fish which was lightly breaded and came out very hot and quickly though the restaurant was fill. I also had wine and my husband had a beer.. They do a tremendous amount of carry out. The restaurant itself is small. We bought a homemade peanut butter pie off I also and it was fabulous.. They have cabbage rolls which I want to try at another time period I will be back
The broasted chicken is good and so are the potatoes . The bbq is a joke though the ribs are hard and not good at all. I love bbq and smoking ribs is a favorite of mine when I got a Saturday to kill but I can say without a doubt I have had better ribs at chain steakhouses. The Mac n cheese is awful you can get way better at a kfc or arbys. I am really surprised people are praising the ribs though they must be missing taste buds and have really strong teeth. Try chili’s or longhorn steakhouse and tell me you think Kd is better.
Have visited KD numerous times since moving to Kettering. Always good food and excellent service. Tonight (4/6/22) had the bbq ribs and broasted chix very tasty. We definitely would recommend this place.
The last time I tried too eat here they were closed….Finally got too when they were open yesterday,My daughter and I both ordered medium done steaks her with Mac and cheese and wedges and mine with mashed potatoes and bqq beans.Both steaks were not medium center of the steaks was extremely red and zero flavor My daughter enjoyed the Mac and cheese the wedges could have been cooked more for her liking..the bqq bean are wonderful the mashed potatoes lacked any flavor…the one thing that made the meal was the cherry cheesecake…I haven’t have a cheesecake like that since my great grandmother.
I got the steak and chicken combo and they were both cold. The chicken tasted off, like it had been reheated. I didn't get a refill on my drink until after I had finished eating. I wish I had the experience everyone else seems to have.
