My wife and I brought our son here last night to celebrate his successful completion of the seventh grade with straight A’s.? we were lucky enough to have a really great server named Jessi… She was super sweet, funny, knowledgeable, and attentive. Our food came out piping hot and my son left fat and happy. Lol we cannot wait to come back. Thank you again Jessi for a wonderful experience… it was very much appreciated.
the appetizers were bountiful both the calamari and the crab fries. great flavor in those dishes, prepared right. next the entree, was fun to try the different sauces. their house sauce is great with a little Cajun spice to compliment the flavor profile. the only thing I would say was a miss was the class. watery and a lot of broken shells. could just a one time thing. other than that, the waitress was very helpful and provided great service.
took my 15yr old for his birthday dinner and let him go crazy with the boil. no regrets! everything was delicious and the manager was kicking butt and smiling! she was great.
Huge shout out to Kevin, the manager. Speaks volumes about the establishment when they go the extra mile to make the customer happy! Had a minor issue and he took care of us! Food was amazing and service was great! We will definitely be back!
Excellent seafood, the flavor of their original sauce is out of this world delicious. There was a slight snafu when we arrived, we waited quite some time for someone to wait on us, but it was an honest mistake and they more than made up for it with their apology. Definitely worth a trip, it was delicious
Wait here for my birthday was the first time enjoying a boil. And king crab. The waiter was awesome. Even asked me if I wanted a cheesecake from my birthday and I said yes cuz it had been a long time since I had cheesecake lol It all tasted amazing. I cannot wait to go back lol
This place is so good! First time eating at the hook and reel and we will definitely be back! Best seafood boil we had since New Orleans. Good portions friendly staff great atmosphere!

Shayla is the best waitress. Our first time there and she didn’t make us feel like a bother because we didn’t know the proper way to open the bags and she bagged it up for us
They treated this Veteran with open arms. Our waiter was very good and prompt. Best seafood in Dayton. Hell, maybe Ohio. Thanks for a face full of garlic butter. We loved it! Keep up the good work. We'll be back soon.
