There is food, and then there are experiences. Hasty Tasty is both. First, the food is on point. Everything is good and they definitely know what they're doing in the kitchen. Second, the place itself is amazing. Which is to say, almost impossible to describe. There is so much going on here, and if it helps I feel like attempting to describe it would amount to giving spoilers. Come for the food and then feast your eyes on the place itself. Soak in the thousands of unique details. They are just not any places like Hasty Tasty anymore so you might want to make it a regular stop. While you're at it leave a large tip for the the no-nonsense staff. The Hasty Tasty is a treasure.
As we get older, it's sometimes good to be able to know that a place of your childhood still exists. I have memories of this place growing up in the 60's when my father would bring us here. The atmosphere still has a nostalgic feel. The atmosphere is homey. The staff is awesome. And, the food is delicious comfort food. I'm thankful Hasty Tasty is still going strong and staying true to who they are!
Had the daily special of a pizza burger and fries. It was great! Soft warm bun and juicy hot pizza burger! And the fries were terrific! Somehow they were hot when delivered and stayed warm even by end of meal! Never got soggy! The milkshake was delish also! The dishes and decor were old and well worn, but food made it ok. Appeared clean too. And the nostalgic music was fun and enjoyable. Will return for sure. Waitress was nice and appropriately attentive but not annoying.
Small hole in the wall 50s style diner. Excellent food, really nice server. My wife and I both got burgers and they were terrific. Cooked just right with soft warm buns.We tried the cherry pie. It was Excellent.If you like quintessential out of a TV show/movie small town diner this is your place.
Visited this gem for the first time after a full morning of loading and unloading a U-Haul in the rain!This place has a cozy welcoming atmosphere and the service was great! It was nice to see apparent regulars being friendly with the staff.Our server never let us run out of coffee, she was fantastic!I would absolutely recommend the pancakes. If I had a top 10 list this would definitely be #1.
This restaurant is my absolute favorite breakfast place! I will literally skip my dunkin coffee run to sit down to the best biscuits and gravy any day! Always amazing staff, not too long of waits. Food is always perfect!! Frequent flyer here and I'll continue to do so!!!
I wish i took photos but i didnt. Me and my lil family went January 1 2022 and the breakfast we ordered was nothing but amazing. It was our first time everyone was nice and they all greeted us as we walked in. We grew up in Dayton our whole lives and just now visiting???will most definitely be back!!!!!
This awesome dining facility just so happens to be celebrating 70 YEARS in the restaurant business as I give the owners ,employees ,and their other staff a huge CONGRATULATIONS with so many businesses going out under so much duress with a pandemic that has still got a grip across the United States ! Their vintage scenery with walls of yesteryear and licenses plates dating back to the early 40's was HISTORICAL as I ate a 5 STAR meal with the chicken fried steak special with BISCUITS & GRAVY that were awesome ! I would highly recommend anyone in the Miami Valley area or travelers passing through to visit the HASTY TASTY restaurant on Linden Ave. The location not only had gotten OLDER ,it has gotten BETTER than it's ever been !
Love bringing the kids here. You can order breakfast all day. They have awesome biscuit and gravy or the waffle.
Pancakes are excellent, and overall service was fantastic. Very cool vintage atmosphere!Definitely will be back to try their lunch and dinner offerings at some point.
