I took my wife here in our third date over 7 years ago. Just last week I took my mother, my wife and 10 other family memeber here for .others day dinner. It did not disappoint. The staff was friendly and paid attention to the small things, like having the mothers order first and serving them first. The staff also new the menu with out hesitation, and the bus boy was also super kind and courteous.Appetizers and entrees were on point. The special, which you will see in the pics, was super good. Three people in my group got that and all boasted on how good it was.For those who know italian resurants the red sauce is middle of the road between sweet and tart. Just the way I like it :) lolSide note: the entire resurant and bathrooms are clean. This is a good establishment:)
Not worth the money. Place is dirty. Menus were dirty. Silverware came with food still on it. Wanted lasagna, made sure to ask if it was fresh. Day old. Was suspicious after that comment. Got bread thinking it would be the safe bet. Bread was stale. Gave it 2 stars only because the wine was good and I hate leaving 1 stars on restaurants.
I LOVE Franco’s! It’s a dated atmosphere; certainly not “fancy”, but their food is always solid. The bread they bring with your dinner is SO GOOD. Simple, but delicious; I literally crave it. They’re the only restaurant I’ve found to make a proper piccata, too. It’s got the right tangy/lemony goodness. Just tried the peanut butter pie the other day and it was very different from a PB pie I’ve had before, but it was the bomb-diggidy!
This was once my favorite restaurant but unfortunately has went down hill. The second to last time I got it (take out) I saw the one of the women cooks seemed angry with staff and threw the food on the counter to them while I was waiting for it, it didn’t taste as good as usual and an appetizer was forgotten. The next time I went it was also bad, didn’t taste fresh, burnt noodles, for the price the quality has been very upsetting recently. I also recommend Franco’s to someone and they told me they were highly disappointed. I once considered this to be the best restaurant in Dayton, the service is always great and the food USED to be amazing but I think they need new kitchen staff.
I started out with the bruschetta appetizer. It had great flavor, left me wanting more. I would only split this between 2 maybe 3 people, you only get 5 pieces. For an entree, I had the shrimp scallopini which tasted amazing! Our waitress was very lovely and personable. Overall a good atmosphere and great food. The Alfredo pasta was lacking a bit though.
Took them an hour to get us bread… still waiting on the actual entrees we ordered. Also found random food in my water. Definitely not coming back
Our server was great but my steak was not. I asked for medium well but got well done. It was really crispy. I also ordered Bruschetta bread as an appetizer. It was way harder than I ever had. It was like biting into a brick. I wouldn’t mind giving Franco’s another try but I would definitely order a pasta dish instead. My date enjoyed his pasta but he was disappointed in the bread as well.

I have been there a few times, every time I ask why I come back. The food is horrible with service to match. There is nothing redeeming regarding this restaurant. Olive Garden has more flavor.
We just found out we are pregnant, so we went out to celebrate at Francos. It was a slow time for the restaurant due to lunch hours and the time of day. We were immediately greeted and sat. We ordered the antipasto, mozzarella cheese sticks and garlic bread as apps. The beginning of our experience was incredible. The server was wonderful and accommodating. However, while waiting for our main dinner, we could hear conversations going on by expo which needless to say were not the most positive. Another server who seemed to be extremely unhappy and disgruntled loudly started to comment on how a staff filled with attractive people are nothing but lazy and worthless. Not just her coworkers but genuinely any people deemed attractive who work in the restaurant business. If these conversations are ok, I do not understand why guests are sat down near expo who can hear these conversations. If anything I felt bad for our server who works with someone who is that negative, loud and embarrassing. She continues not once but several conversations on expo before we decided to say something, get boxes and pay. It was a disappointment to go out and hear this during our first restaurant experience at Francos.
