The quality of food for CJ Chan is really all over the place nowadays. I remember the first time I ate here 9 or so years ago the food was incredible and such great quality. So flavorful, fresh and delicious. Unfortunately every time I’ve ordered from here over the last year (kept trying to catch them on a good day!) has just not been on the same level as it used to be. I moved back to Dayton from Chicago and I don’t know if they’ve had a change of ownership since or what’s happened but I haven’t felt like I’ve had a good meal from them in a while. Kind of just mediocre at best, usually soggy and tastes like it’s been made hours ago. I hope they can get back to how they were though because I really want to support local businesses and I miss the way it used to taste ?
This was my first time trying this restaurant. The employees were polite and didn't mind a substitution; the food was prepared quickly and was still hot when I got home. It looked very appealing. The broccoli was really good; the orange chicken and lo mein were a little sweet for my taste but I am happy to go back and try another dish
This is my FAVORITE Chinese I have ever had!!! I got the Dragon Phoenix S08. It had just the right amount of spice to it, nothing overbearing. I also got some stuff for my grandma. My gma has been in the hospital down here for almost 2/3 weeks and she would barely eat, when I brought this back? She. Chowed. Down. She ended up getting the sesame chicken. They had my order ready and HOT as soon as I walked through the door, very clean business in the front.
This place offers delicious Chinese take-out in the classic Amercanized style. If you are looking for truly authentic Chinese food, this is not the place to go. But if you are looking for the iconic American take on Asian fare, CJ Chan will not disappoint.
I hate leaving bad reviews, but this takeout was really disappointing! Be aware that their version of chow mein is very different from every other place I've gotten ordered it. Our veggie chow mein arrived with no cooked noodles. There were two small bags of those crispy, crunchy noodles you put on soups and salads, so maybe those were supposed to go with the cooked veggies? I tried putting them together but it wasn't great. The veggies weren't great either, just not very flavorful, and the General Tso's was also mediocre. Other people seem to like this place, so maybe we just ordered the wrong things, but I don't think we'll try it again as this is the second time we've been underwhelmed.
Very nice Chinese and Japanese foodGeneral Tso's Chicken was quite tender and tasty. The salmon bento box was excellent.Very fast (less than 15 minutes) and reasonably priced.

Went here because of the ratings and weren't disappointed. Everything was cooked well and the dish I ordered as extra spicy came with a great kick. We waited less than 10 minutes to get our order.
Yummmmm! Dark gravy with their egg foo young! Egg rolls are a beast! SO good! This the only spot I will get Chinese food from now!
The wonton soup noodles were nasty. They were slimmy kinda like eating a mountain oyster. When chewed them, it like a water and flour mixture. Those wan tons must been sitting in liquid for a real long time (days). The broth like dish water. The pok fried rice was bland. I don't remember their food being that awful or i wouldn't have ordered. $25 down the drain. Never again.
