Have always liked China Cottage especially before the pandemic when they had their luncheon specials. Now their lunch special comes with your choice of rice, and creamy chicken soup. It's more of a dinner portion than what they used to give you for lunch. The one thing I do miss is the chicken wing and your choice of soup. They also would give you free hot tea back then but no longer. Also you could get the same special every week were now they change it on a weekly basis. Usually a beef, or pork dish and chicken. Also a vegetarian dish, it usually a noodle dish. Which does give you the opportunity to try something different. As for service, I've never had a bad server and I know I've been going to this one since they've opened it. I only wish with their lunch and special that you could get a choice of soup, because I do think their hot and sour soup is one of the best in the area. As for appetizers, I do think they have the best pot stickers around the area and they are very delicious. Same as their crab rangoon, which are not skimpy on the filling. These are basically my go-to appetizers, but I have tried the other ones and they are all delicious.
Ordered dinner towards the closing time. Literally the worst food we have ever had recently. We went there seeing the reviews. I am not sure if it happened since it was closing time. We had to order takeaway since it was past 10PM. Hunan beef was the worst. The meat had a foul smell also. Chicken lo-mein was okay. Three of us shared the lo-mein since Hunan beef and Kung Pao Beef was not at all tasty. Quantity was good enough for three people.
This place is great. I wish we had one in Northeast Ohio! My family and I go to a China cottage every time we are in town. No where else can you get General Tsao chicken that is so fresh and crispy. Seriously best Chinese food. I haven’t had anything I don’t like here yet. The restaurant itself is nice, it has a calm and quiet atmosphere. Came here with a party of 7 (2 were children). Waitress was so nice and helpful. You can’t go wrong stopping here for lunch or dinner.
Best American Chinese restaurant I've been to in the area. They also have a black menu with authentic dishes. Portions are also quite large. Only issue I have with the place is that they don't do delivery.
Server was excellent. She knew all about the food. Very attentive. Food was superb. General taos chicken, hunan chicken, chicken fried rice, hot green tea, crab Rangoon sizeable portions, we shared and still brought food home.

Requested an item not on the menu - Mongolian chicken. The spring roll and wonton soup were hot and tasty. A good start to the meal. The Mongolian chicken was good with sliced garlic. The green onions could have been cut in better strips. Overall a good meal and leftovers.
Great service, generous portions, nice atmosphere, clean and the bar area is impressive. I had the beef noodle dish, but will not order it again because of the quality of the beef they use. Everything else we had was enjoyable. Not pictured, firecracker shrimp is very good.
Very good Chinese food! You could order off menu items for special occasions as well!
