Food always fresh, games , bar, nice atmosphere, easy to work with employees. I go there often for lunch. Highly recommend if you want to try something different or new. Their BLT and Mario pizzas are amazing.
Great variety/big menu at the deli for a small place. Service is fast, and the staff is very friendly!
Front door: “Must be 21 after 5pm. Kids are welcome until 3pm… All kids must be under adult supervision”Long story short: we were kicked out AFTER we ordered our food to go.Its me, my wife, and our 1 year old. Granted it was 4:45p on a Sunday… we thought since only a handful of people were inside we might be able order something to go. We had our baby in our arms and were very kindly greeted by the cashier, nice conversation with him, and all seemed to be fine! So went ahead and ordered our food to go, we had no plans on staying. We sat down at a table (which all but 1 were empty), at one point manager walked past and smiled at us. Honestly, felt like it was a cool place. Our kid is super chill eating chips. Seated about 5 minutes until the bartender *yells* over her 4 customers, about 15ft away, “No kids allowed, you have to leave!” and I say “can’t we just wait for the food?,”, she gets even LOUDER “Nope, it doesn’t matter you have to leave.. no kids allowed.” It honestly felt like she wanted to cause a scene and impress her customers... We were completely embarrassed and humiliated. At least come to the table and tell me directly?I took my baby and sat across the street while my wife waits for the food alone.. the manager comes by to apologize and gives her a free sandwich card. It was a very kind gesture and we are thankful for that. This whole situation felt odd.. we are not used to this type of behavior from local Dayton business. People from around here are genuinely nice. Hopefully this bartender just had a bad day.
This place was awesome for lunch! Sandwiches are great and Large. Service was friendly and all the non-pinball arcade games are free play so you can play while you wait for your sandwich. I'll definitely hit it up next time I'm in Dayton.
Dude, this place is super cool! LOTS of vintage pinball machines. Some 90's-era arcade games, mostly free to play. Pinball costs quarters. I had them make me a cold Reuben, which i know is weird, but it's hot in the summer! All kinds of one-off sodas (Sioux City Sarsaparilla!). I'm not in Dayton often, but when i return, I WILL be back here.
Pretty cool place for lunch and some retro gaming. Good food, some games are free play and a great choice of pinball.
Canal Street Arcade and Deli is one of the coolest places to grab a bite to eat and a drink in the area. There are plenty of pinball and arcade games to play, but the sandwiches are what really stand out. They have the best sandwiches in town! The Super is fantastic! The staff is awesome too! They provide outstanding service and are all very friendly. Located close to the city's bike trails this place is an awesome stop to hydrate after a ride!
Kind of a cool place! Old school video games, bar and deli. Not a ton of room for seating and eating, would be a nice evening and night spot. I have had a few of the sandwiches which are always good. The service is fast and friendly and they do have parking out front.
Very cool place to hang out at. Great atmosphere and staff. I go to unwind after a long day. I obviously love the FREE VIDEO GAMES.
Absolutely amazing sandwiches and so many games to choose from. Came back later and the guy at the door was super nice. Overall, great atmosphere and service!
