5 stars for a restaurant full of women making things work on a busy Friday. Kat the hostess was busting her tail, she is an excellent teammate. The manger was the kinda manger that got out in the trenches and bust tables and helped out as needed. The waitresses I had were great very friendly one was training the other in training. Food was cool. It was a busy Friday evening but they all showed up and tried their best. I love good customer service, it was a wait but it was explained to me so I had an expectation that was reasonable.
Stopped here for a bite to eat after driving home from VA. Terrible service, mediocre and dried out food, and overpriced for what we received. We waited over 30 min in a restaurant that was relatively empty and couldn’t even get a drink of water at the bar. Meanwhile, others who came in were seated before us. There were at least 5 waitresses on duty yet not one of them asked if we needed anything while we waited or apologized for the long wait. Once seated, and got the food, it was badly cooked and not worth the hour and half it took to get the food. All in all the cost was around $70+ tips for an experience worth far less. Usually, Applebees is a fun, reliable spot to get decent food, this was just a very disappointing experience.
Arrived at 10:50 pm Saturday; handwritten sign on door read 'open until 11 pm'. They would not seat me, said seating stops at 10:30. I replied that then they are not really 'open until 11 pm'. She said they still have people at tables (do they shoo them out at 11?) and pick-up orders, which is why they lock the doors. I told her they need to make that clear on their sign; I came there on the premise that 'open until 11 pm' on Google Search means open TO ANYONE - not just pick-up orders! Don't believe the lies. I WON'T be back.
I will continue to go to this location simply because of one waitress. Haley is nothing short of amazing. Always smiling. Always kind. Great at her job. If I go in and she’s working I automatically know it’s gonna be great. They are lucky to have her. She really deserves to be recognized.
Chips and queso were good. Iced tea was not cloudy. Steak potatoes and broccoli were very good. Waitress was very good refilled the tea without having to be asked I would definitely go back to this Applebee's again
I came in last night with my family and was told they were on a hour wait at 8:15p. I work in the industry so I get hosts hate doing their job and like to lie and tell people their on longer waits than the restaurant is on so they don’t have to actually do their job. I get it but when there’s only 5 cars in the parking lot and I’m told a hour wait then I look at the couple next to us and they tell me she told them 5 min ago a 10 min wait.. I’m going to make a review all Bc I had 3 kids with me I know that’s what it was! At most there was 9 tables in there with 2 servers. Applebees doesn’t even do unlimited anything so why between 2 servers can’t they handle 9 tables? This is why when I read all the reviews about this Applebees they are negative! The Saturday night host needs a new job out of this industry. Applebees by the Dayton mall has started going down hill since covid. Only reason I chose there was because compared to everywhere else they were dead. I see why.
Got A 2 for $29 plus an Appetizer real good deal and Good customer service and the had the Bengals AFC championship game. Totally Recommend it. They Had the Daily Drink specials and the Tipsy Cupid and Day Nights drink where good and Delicious with a good amount of Alc%
I had the Parm steak and shrimp! Home style broccoli. Ceaser salad. Coffee. ALL WERE EXCELLANT and Ruby was the greatest!!
The food was good. The service was great but I was placed in the worst seating. They sat their patrons next to windows. The restaurant was so cold I had to eat with my coat on.
Really like that place and their 2 for 22$ deal. Covids hit establishments pretty hard and They're really trying their best to give top quality service with the low staffing they have. Also love their buffalo hot wings.
