We have lived here for five years and just learned about this place!! Amazing food and service! We will definitely be back!

Staff very helpful and friendly. Food was excellent.

We love going there, just went to lunch yesterday and the lunch prices have gone way up! Can’t go as often but I love that place!

We eat here at least twice a month! Absolutely love the authentic sushi. Service is always great. We tip our server as well as the sushi chefs. Haven’t found better sushi anywhere else!

Akashi is one of the best places to get a great meal, great drinks and some of the best tasting sushi in the Dayton area. They are open for lunch and dinner (two separate times fyi) and it fills up quick. Once you eat here you will know why you're going back again! Dinner plate, sushi roll (premium) and an alcoholic drink for one person will be around 35-45 dollars. You won't mind that cost at all when your done eating!Ask which sushi rolls the set on fire...

Excellent restaurant. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable. There is a small sushi bar, open dining, and some small screened dining tables. The sushi was all reasonably priced ($9-14) per specialty roll. Everything was fresh and carefully prepared and presented. Service was excellent. I highly recommend as a sushi spot. They also had some Korean food on the menu. We didn’t try any this trip but I would definitely return to try out what else they can do.

Eel is my favorite, and it is always a pleasure to see it well executed, I got it in both the appetizer and nigiri. The rolls were excellent as well. It was a wonderful meal and nice night out.

This place offers a "food challenge" where they bring you a huge boiling hot bowl of food. They don't allow the food to cool down before starting the timer, and you only have 20 minutes to finish it. There's NO way anyone can finish without harming themselves. The owner/manager should be ashamed of themselves for putting up this challenge, and they should really think about the legalities they will most likely face when someone injures themselves and starts calling lawyers.

I've been to a lot of Asian-inspired restaurants within the region, but I've never experienced an establishment like Akashi. The best time to go [for sushi] is Monday through Thursday when there is a buy one, get the 2nd half off special. I personally go for the Akashi and Rainbow rolls (adding cream cheese, tempura, and Japanese mayo).Whenever my family and I have visited Akashi we've always experienced quality service, great-tasting food, and friendly hospitality. The food is always fresh and delicious each and every time we go there. It seems like the same two waitresses are there working all the time, but this is wonderful because they are absolutely on point every, single time.Lastly, it's kind of funny because the interior is a throwback to the 90s light-colored wood decor and it's just a really quaint atmosphere.

It’s perfectly good? There are Japanese food and some Korean food. I love this place. +kimchi jjige was very salty
