This was first time at this local establishment. I had lunch with a few friends. The atmosphere had a smooth, quaint vibe that was pleasant and cordial. The restaurant was clean but lacked a bit of decor. Our waiter was Rodney. He was extremely friendly, attentive and knowledgeable of the menu. NICE! Our food was prepared and plated well. The plastic containers for the salad dressing was not my fav..but the salads looked pretty. TASTE:Sounds like we trialed a new bbq sauce for the chef...it was delicious! I oedered the house salsd with salmon. My salmon had good flavor however my salmon was not prepared as I ordered. I ordered salmon medium and It was overcooked. This is a common error in many restaurants I visit. With that being said, the salad was good and my guest enjoyed their salad and bean burger (with the debu bbq sauce). Overall, we had a nice dining experience and would definitely recommend it!
The atmosphere is cool. The service was on point. The food was tasty. A little bit pricey. I had the salmon cheesesteak, and it was good; however, I think it could use a better piece of bread. The filling is delicious- put it on a better roll! All in all, it was good. I will visit again. I liked that they have some different options on the menu.
My wife and I stopped by today looking for a new downtown spot (as we had purchased downtown dollars before the holidays) for lunch. We had a PHENOMENAL meal with exemplary service today. The restaurant is clean, comfortable and modern. Our server Jared was amazing! My wife’s salmon wrap made her day. My chicken philly was also delicious, but the Mac and cheese blew our socks off!! Check this place out!
So happy to have found this place! Staff was super friendly, helpful and service was fast. Music was great and decor was nice. The food was amazing and we will definitely be back. Everything we tried was delicious. The Mac and cheese, garlic potatoes, salmon, shrimp all had great flavor. Don’t miss out!
Great food, staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about their menu without being pushy or weird. I felt invited into a family atmosphere with fine dining sensibilities. The rolls were a Caribbean take on a Chinese egg roll, and I am really glad I ordered the app.Overall, I can't wait to go back. I think this place has a shot at being the next "it" spot in Dayton.
I went earlier this month for a family member's birthday brunch and I found this place to be fantastic! I love the decor and the atmosphere, and it's great to see it in such a prime location. Its vibe is very contemporary, laid-back and sleek, so this would be a perfect place for a first (or ongoing) date.Kia (our waitress/server) was an absolute joy for us, and I couldn't have asked for better. We had a large party, but she was very professional, efficient and prompt with all of our orders and requests. So, about the food: AMAZING! I ordered the following:- Curry Shrimp & Grits (??)- Fried Chicken & Waffle (????)Drinks- You Send Me Swinging' (????)- Love TKO (??)- 1Eleven Side Car (??)This is truly a unique place, and I'm glad that I had a wonderful first-time experience there. I will definitely return to try more of their delicious menu items and to enjoy the ambience of this gem.
Please consider balance in the amount of sodium/seasoning. I would love to come down and eat once a week but the seasoning is overpowering making me consider pushing my next visit 6 months out. And the greens were “glorified” and mashed potatoes were “instantaneous”..if you know what I mean. I love the scenery but please find better solution to wait times.
Had lunch there today with a Friend. The service was wonderful. Food came out fast and hot. I had Chicken Alfredo and it was very flavorful. First time having Sweet Potato Cheesecake and it didn't disappoint. I relocated to Dayton for work and this is the best food and service I had hands down. Beautiful atmosphere. I will return soon for dinner. My new favorite place.
Food - Egg rolls and chickpea dish had nice flavor...Service - I walked in at 11:30 which is what time they open - door was unlocked. The red haired woman seemed annoyed I was there. She threw a hey at me and went back to what she was doing. Came over and staring down at her pad said 'whats your name?', 'do you know what you want or do you need a menu?'. No thanks for coming, may I help you, no smile, be right with you - nothing. And today is the day a prominent community organization decided to come down and support this business in particular. Not a good start. Fortunately another more pleasant young lady came on duty and started taking care of customers. When you run a service establishment, everyone who is customer facing needs to have a welcoming demeanor - the minute the door is unlocked. That was more like a burger king experience, not an upper scale sit down restaurant. Not necessary to have a big grinning smile but at least try to act like you're happy to have their business...first impressions
I highly recommend this restaurant! Good tasteful and just good vibe all around!
