We always look forward to Friday night fish fry at the Boulevard. Great service and food. Last night was an exception, the bartender was very insulting and rude. He decided he could hear our little phone over the all the loud conversations going on and walked all the way over to other side of the restaurant to tell us he could hear it at the bar and that we needed to turn it down. Now granted we are just three ladies trying to enjoy our one night out, and with all that's going on in the world, we decided it would be best not to ruin our dinner and complied without further incident. Shame on him. Thought you should know.
2 fried perch dinners (lent). 1 was 3-piece, other was 5-piece. Excellent with tartar sauce or malt vinegar. French fries were very good. Very good, large salad. Cole slaw very good.Ambiance....like an old time bar. Beautiful wooden bar w/stools. Been 2 years since there. They changed from tables/chairs to booths. Nicely done. Service was quick, friendly. Brandy was our waitress. Meals were hot, plenty to eat
Haven't be in years but stopped by last night for the fish fry...delicious!! Great service as well. Deducting one star because they close at 8 and that is just so early, especially for a weekend! We didn't know and after the 45 min wait to be sat, we were at the table at 7:40. By the time we were finishing up, the place had mostly cleared out and we felt bad holding up the staff from going home.
Great little tavern. I'm here visiting from Seattle, my sisters told me about this place and had to try it.. it's not often I try seafood outside of Washington that's blows me away but their fried perch is up there with some of the best fish I've ever had.. not too mention stiff drinks and big beers. The wait staff were busy but accommodating. Next time I'm in this area I'll be returning.
Most places to eat these days are just that , a place to eat , maybe have a weak cocktail . But THE BOULEVARD is totally different . The atmosphere is fun yet cozy , each booth has glass panels on 3 sides of it . the menu is very unique , they have the greatest collection of options ive ever seen . there are even vegan meals ! My husband and i went last friday for our second trip there . we started with the best nachos either of us has ever had , they actually use cream cheese in them ! I ordered a gin and tonic and im telling you , i couldnt have made a better drink myself , the bartender knows her stuff . our server was Sam and she was a joy . friendly , helpful , she makes you feel like youre at a friends house We both HAD to go with the perch , and oh man was it perfect ! Hot , flaky and incredibly delicious . the cole slaw is amazing too . i had a side salad instead of fries and it was huge ! They dont hold back on the portions ! We will be going again and im going to FORCE myself to try some of their other food . you will not be disappointed if you go , and i promise youll enjoy yourself as well as leave with a full belly and probably a to-go box lol ?❤
We were told they had the best perch fish fry and it was no exaggeration! It was firm and didnt break up in the tartar sauce. The breading was very tasty. Service was great! We will definitely be back and recommend The Boulevard Tavern to everyone.
Excellent food! You can tell everything here is homemade. The salads are enormous, the hummus is a huge favorite with my family, and everything we’ve ever ordered is cooked perfectly. The service has always been friendly, and while they don’t have a cocktail menu, they’ve got a full bar and will whip up whatever you ask. Our server once offered us her own simple creation and my mom and I both loved it. Would love to try dessert but we’re always full!
Good food and quick service. Every day is fish day, however, today opened early with many ordering the fish. My friends enjoyed their fish dinners. I enjoyed the filet mignon steak sandwich. The fries are good fries. Nice atmosphere too.
