Just enjoyed yet another absolutely delicious meal at El Meson on their beautiful outdoor patio. Such a treat! Everything from the warm crispy chips, tasty salsa, & fresh guacamole to our stellar burritos & pollo loco rated 5 stars! No wonder El Meson has such a loyal following. This place is the best! Owner Tomas & his team prepare top quality authentic Mexican cuisine & great friendly service in a lovely setting. And their homemade signature margaritas with fresh limes/oranges/lemons & golden ingredients are, by far, better than any we have ever had in Mexico & Central America as well as anywhere in U.S.! We look forward to dining at their newly opened Stow location. If you love authentic Mexican cuisine, eat here. You’ll be back for more!?
I was going to give only two stars based on my one and only experience here, but I gave three because I was ensured by my friends that it's usually better.The place itself is pretty nice. It's spacious, has nice decor and an outside eating area. So that was the highlight of my experience.The food was ok. Not bad, but not amazing either. And I actually found my fajita quesadilla to be very salty tasting for some reason.The real reason for my disappointing experience was the service. There was some confusion with my girlfriends drink order. She saw they had a white claw margarita so assumed they had just white claw as well. She ordered a white claw but they brought out the margarita version, she said she just wanted a white claw seltzer. They said they didn't have just white claw, which is weird since they have a white claw margarita. My gf is doing keto so the margarita wasn't an option. She politely apologized for the misunderstanding and declined the margarita. Well you would have thought a wasted margarita was a cardinal sin or something. He kept trying to tell her it was good and that she should try it. After refusing again, then they had the bartender come over and he tried to sell this margarita. It's like we get it, it's good. But it's not keto friendly so it wouldn't work. After that, you could tell the waiter was not happy. He seemed very annoyed and put out to deal with us. It was just weird.
5/30/22 Better experience three years later ☺️ New patio and bar really made it a lot nicer place. Last time really was bad but will definitely be coming back. Great service this time!!2019: Rated higher previously. Not sure what has changed here but we had a girl's night out starting with a pedi and decided to come here for dinner and margaritas. Served our margaritas and dinner - both were very good but never saw our waiter again. Would have liked to have another margarita but finally flagged down another staff member to get our check. Sipped on the water that melted in my margarita glass and waited some more! Wasn't packed so not sure if under staffed? Service this time- no stars but gave 3 stars since other 2 times I have been here was a positive experience in service and food.
A fun place to go when you want to eat drink ? and socialize inside and outside . Pleasedon't order online late the food will not be too warm and it take too long. I did take , but I should have ate their .
Great food and friendly staff! They had some good vegetarian options also (there’s a section in the back of the menu just for vegetarian food).
It's the first time I've been in since the remodel and it's really nice! The service is good and the menu has improved! Pictured here is the Pollo Feliz. I asked that the cheese come on the side and the flavors came through. Wonderful combination of spinach and mushrooms. Very tasty. I'll be back!
Very nice friendly staff... We had a very attentive server, the food was delicious and the drinks were bomb.... I love the great atmosphere and will definitely be coming back.... Thank you for a wonderful experience
The food was amazing and so were the drinks. I had my very first strawberry daiquiri and it's the best alcohol beverage I had in a while. The only downfall was the waiting for certain things but they were so busy and the food was so amazing that I didn't mind waiting. I highly recommend this place to friends, family, and people I don't know. If you try any Mexican restaurant, make sure this one is on that list.
THE best margaritas! I love the frozen mango one. This restaurant is clean and is always lively with people every time I go, so you know it's a popular place! Definitely recommend! Also, you can get margaritas to go!
Usually we LOVE El meson! But we went there tonight and did not enjoy at all! When we first sat down it was nice and warm in the restaurant. Within 5 min they had turned off heat and turned on air! It was so cold that my hands got numb! Then, they made an error in our order but we just ate it anyway because we were TOO COLD to wait for more food. As bad as I hate to say it, we will not be returning for a long time…
