This is the last Arthur Treacher's in the country. I drove an hour to get there. It was fantastic, and the chicken, fries, and hush puppy's were just like I remembered. If you have a chance to go their you won't be sorry.
I grew up coming to one of these back home and missed it. Still miss the lemon pies!!!
The cleanest restaurant I've been in in some time. The staff was friendly and were happy to see us from Cincinnati. The food was good too. This is why they are the top of the line. Was a great treat.
Saw on the news, that this is the last brick and mortar restaurant left in America. It was also celebrating its 50th birthday. When we drove by, the parking lot was full. We decided to park at a nearby bank that was closed. Others quickly decided to do the same too. Once inside, there was a line to the door with people waiting for place their order. The birthday party had just begun. We were able to find seats. The mayor was there & gave a speech. They even had birthday cake that was shared with everyone. The fish and chips were excellent. Some folks came all the way from Utah for this. Friendly staff, very clean. Congrats and we will be back.
We drove approximately 75 miles one way to get our craving satisfied. It was absolutely worth it and the fish and chips were exactly as we remembered it from so long ago. Of course we wish there were more locations closer to us, but now that we've made the trip once, we hope to get back more frequently!
This is the spectacular fish I remembered from the 1970s. The service was also great and the owner spent time talking with us. Highly recommend.
Delicious as always and well worth the drive out there to treat ourselves.
It is exactly the same as when I was a kid. The hushpuppies are awesome and like no where else. The chips are unique as well. The fish batter stays crispy and crunchy even with a 15-minute drive home, which is quite a feat! Definitely an attraction in Cuyahoga Falls.
45 years ago. At the age of 15 I got my first job at Arthur Treachers fish and chips. Here it is 45 years later and I am eating at the last original Arthur teacher's fish and chips in the United States. I drove from Delaware just to eat here and was thoroughly exuberant with my experience. It was like stepping back in time to my childhood. The food was exactly as I remembered except for a couple of small items but close enough for government work. The owner came to my table and we had a long discussion about the glory days of Arthur Treachers. He was so nice and I felt right at home. I recommend anyone who has memories of Arthur Treachers to come here and eat. I also recommend that anyone who has never tried their fish to stop by and give it a shot. I also highly recommend the chicken sandwich with coleslaw and Russian dressing. I could not have been more pleased with my trip.
I stopped here at the request of friends who live in another city. They were in the mood for Arthur Teacher's fish dinners. And I, knowing that there would be ham all weekend, decided fish would be a welcome treat on Good Friday. The service was quick and friendly. I didn't have to wait in the Drive Thru. And I put the dinners in my heat keeping bags and went to my friend's house. About a half hour later, arriving at my friend's house, the fish dinners were hot and delicious. They gave Tarter sauce and napkins. We were all set.I'm happy that Arthur Treacher's is still around. I'm not a huge fish eater, but when it comes to Arthur Treacher's, I am.
