Me and my wife always wanted to try this place. We had to wait 20 min not bad. The food was pretty bland they ran out of dinner rolls. There salad was some iceberg lettuce a couple slivers of carrots and a wedge of tomato. They also don't let you pick your vegetable. There baked potato was tiny. For 45 bucks for 2 we won't be back. Our sever was very nice she was the best part of our dinner.
I took my son to a classic seafood joint that I know he would love (he is a 14 year old seafood junky). It was the last place I ever enjoyed a meal with my dear old Uncle Woody. The walleye sandwich was hot and looked lovely. It was a little underdressed (lettuce only) and came with 1 oz. Of tartar sauce which was definitely not enough. My son and I came in dressed slightly more casually then the rest of the patrons. Because of this it appeared to me that the three waitresses on staff argued amongst themselves over who had to suffer the indignity of serving the apparently, "near homeless people." I still tipped 18%. The onion rings were tasty as was the cup of New England clam chowder. The decor is the same as when I visited as a teenage (am 50 now) which is to say ultra dated and the free standing chairs were less comfortable than sitting on a stump. I will be back but I hope for better.
Really good quality of all foods. Myst try in Columbus. Ponzu sauce is awesome for Japanese people. Will come back again soon.
YO! Oh my word! I had the salmon, baked potato, and rice. It was weekend and we had entrees so we got rolls and and cinnamon rolls. Sundae for dessert. The place was spotless and shiny from the mens room toilet to the tables and floors where we ate. Smelled clean and looked the same. Small place but absolutely perfect! Service was fantastic. I cannot even describe….you are doing yourself a disservice by not coming here. It is totally deceiving from the outside..it’s in a strip mall but bruh……just get here. A +++++.
Now remember this is just my opinion.Ok greeter was a spunky, fun old lady named BJ.Atmosphere was great.Waitress was fantastic.Food, well in my opinion, needed seasoning. We had starters, main and desert. All cooked the the way we asked! Steak was dead in cooked right! Seafood was fresh! Only reason I gave it a 3 star was... seasoning, little salt n pepper during the cooking process goes a far way!! Maybe the cook was just having an off night, I know they were slammed, stupid busy! Food was good, portions were right on, but seasoning was lacking.
Love this place. Food is really good. I'm 48 so the decor and service takes me back to growing up in the 80's. Sadly, they better do something with the interior or they will soon be forgotten. I'm the last generation to accept the bad decor.
This is the only restaurant for seafood that doesn't feel like you're in central Ohio. It's a word of mouth restaurant and I'm so glad we gave it a try! If you like seafood, I highly recommend checking them out. They also have menu items other than seafood and want to bring my parents for dinner soon.
If I could choose a -5, I would. Do NOT waste your time or $$$. Went there on a recommendation-waited 15 min for anyone to come to table, waitress was not nice AT ALL, we were not even rude about the wait-smiling and polite entire experience, they didn’t know anything about seafood-“what does seared mean?”, “here’s some cocktail sauce for your scallops”, what?!!!! Green beans looked like they’d been plated for a week before being served to us, my husband took one bite of disgusting looking prime rib-we were never asked how our food was or if we needed anything, until my husbands credit card was charged of course then she comes over with the receipt and says “oh! you didn’t eat your steak do you want a box?” We had already asked for and received a box for my scallops???? Every time she came to table she looked like she wanted to kill us. This was literally the worst food experience of my life-I cannot for the life of me understand where these positive reviews come from unless they simply went to hell after the pandemic like a lot of places seem to have done-save yourself and your money-DONT GO!! I also spent the rest of the night and part of the next morning in the bathroom-NEVER AGAIN-Horrible experience!!!
Service and atmosphere was enjoyable and very cozy. Definitely a place with a "regular" crowd. The food itself was a really big disappointment. NY strip had no flavor. I picked up on no no seasoning, salt or butter. The Walleye was good, but little flavor there too. Ribs were the best, but from a place that offers steak and seafood, having good ribs doesn't move the needle. Ultimately, this place did not live up to the hype. I wish I got a steak from longhorn.
The waitress we had was TOPS! She was so pleasant, great service and even entertaining. We all ordered something different and shared. Every dish was GREAT! And the rolls OMG - I want that cinnamon roll recipe, best rolls ever!! We will all be back!
