This is definitely one of my favorite restaurants to go to. Food is always good and they have a great selection of desserts. There are not many restaurants that I frequent but this is definitely one of them that I do
Food was pretty good, was still hot when it arrived.Only complaint is that we placed a large order and no one thought to label the boxes with what each box contained so we had to guess what every item was to hand out in an office.It made lunch stressful, but we know to ask them to label each box next time.
We absolutely love this Grinders. Sometimes you'll see the owner (assuming) on site working with the employees. My orders are correct. The food is delicious. Eat too much of the cheddar Mac salad. The Stimpelini is my favorite. We order the same everytime. Veggie Grinder with banana peppers. Pizza Grinder add mushrooms and a kids cheese pizza. One of the few phone numbers I know by heart, I'd have to call Grinders in an emergency, lol. We've been ordering from here for decades.
Check your order before you leave. The quality at this store has gone down tremendously. Three times I have got the wrong sub or size in the last couple months. Not complained about it until now. Ordered a 10 inch sub. Got home and noticed it was not correct. Called and Alyana (Manager) said they would make another. Another 10 min drive back to and got there to pick up the sub. Manager said that I have to turn in the other sub before getting the correct one. I said for my inconvenience I was going to keep it (knowing they will throw it out anyways). She said that they can't do that. Asked for my inconvenience what they would do. She said nothing.Terrible customer service. Nick and Shelley Swallows should be embarrassed.
W.G. Grinders is a local place in Columbus, Ohio (there are only three locations). They make one-of-kind toasted subs and really delicious deli salads. Their subs are really heavy, filling, and delicious (this is not a Subway knock-off--it's very different). I'm a tall guy and weigh 190lbs and a 6" toasted sub and a side deli salad is more than enough food for me. The 10" subs are gargantuan. I got the Original Italian grinder with a deli pasta salad that had a cream-based dressing and chunks of cheddar. Both were delicious (the deli salad was pure confort food). That staff was really nice and the interior of the Broad Stree location is retro and quaint. This place is a Columbus staple.
Great food and great service
Best subs in town...seriouslyI've been coming here for the past few years and it really feels like a gem of a place. Usually when we go somewhere we choose a thing we like and stick with it. But...there are so many good things on the menu. Buffalo chicken, hot chicken, club, baked chicken, meatball, ham and cheese. Whatever, it's all good. I don't think I've had anything I didn't like but hands down favorites are buffalo chicken, club, stromboli, and the meatball.I don't live in Columbus anymore but when I do come to columbus, I come here for lunch every time. This place is awesome and I couldn't even make this up. Not a paid review. Come in and check it out, seriously. The desserts are also made fresh everyday by the owners. It really feels like the people working here like their job and it's a nice little place to go. Not a very good photo because I was already scarfing it down. XD
This place is very clean and efficiently run. The food is excellent and is always fresh. If you’ve ever eaten at a Grinders, you know the food is good; but at this Grinders, the food is outstanding!!!
Soups are excellent. Sandwiches are very good. Friendly and fast service. I really like going here.
I'm actually in the store as I write this and everything was good and would have got five stars if not for the lady that took my order. I thought she was just going to tell me to get out at one point and just for order a sandwich and a stromboli. She yanked my card out of my hand and then slammed it into the machine and started slapping it on the table while waiting for my receipt. She is the only one in the whole store that was rude and it completely ruined me and my wife's trip there
