My spouse and I are always looking for unique dishes and fun places that have a story to tell with their food, and Veritas delivered. The combination of a tasting menu with a bit of choice gave us more options to try as many dishes as possible. Since the menu changes frequently, the description of each course won’t help, but suffice it to say everything was executed very well. There were a lot of fun takes on summer dishes, and each was well balanced and had a very complex depth of flavor. I would recommend the wine pairings with your dinner. The team did a very good job matching wine with some very complex dishes. It was fun to see how each wine was enhanced by the dishes. We have already passed along a personal recommendation to many of our foodie friends, because we know that they will enjoy their meal.
Wonderful experience.Chef Dans ability is by far the apex of the culinary arts . The staff and environment is friendly, warm, welcoming and charming. This is a perfect experience for someone who is suffering “the same old dining experience” and wants to taste excellence. Bravo chef Dan
The food is amazing, the service is always fantastic and the atmosphere is cozy. I can’t say enough great things about the food here. It’s just a whole food experience.
Ok, yes Veritas is extremely high rated and offers an experience unlike anything else in Columbus and has pushed the limit of expectations for the food scene here, but I'm always slightly disappointed. The food itself is amazingly presented and quite delicious, the price is just too high to leave wanting more. I'm happy to spend the money, but it's more of a snack than a meal. The pairing drinks are very complimentary of the meal as well and a must add on. Just wishing there was an additional course or something you know.
Went last night for the collaboration with Rooh...it was amazing! Food and service, as always, were impeccable. Mitch always does a terrific job making sure that we have everything we need, and Genevieve behind the bar made some great cocktails to go with our courses. Thanks again!
Excellent food and service.
Food was good, portion sizes are very small but we knew what we were getting into with a Tapas restaurant. The service was very good and they consistently brought out new utensils. My only gripe was I do believe it is overpriced for what you actually get, my girlfriend and I each did the tasting and had two cocktails and after tip the bill was $330.00. For $330.00 I would probably rather go somewhere with larger portions, but I also understand this is not a cheap place in the first place that I went to.
Had heard about this place for a few years and finally experienced it to celebrate a birthday. The ambiance was really cool and trendy and it felt like you were in a major metropolitan city. Our server was exceptional and took his time to explain entrees and wine parings. Each menu item was presented in a beautiful fashion and was extremely pleasing to the palette. The whole prefix experience took over two hours and was memorable. It is quite expensive with the bill totaling $600 for four people not including tip- three of us had wine parings. Overall, would definitely go again to celebrate a special occasion.
Superb attention to detail in all areas of this restaurant, starting of course w the food. I had the 5 course tasting that did leave me wanting more. Food, people. service, atmosphere, ambience, down to the glass coasters and straws all stand out. I tend to pick great places and this was exceptional. The hidden place upstairs that used to be a credit union is a very cool bonus too if you want drinks in a gem of a lounge :)
Beautiful service elegance
