Great history with this place. Makes you miss school. Unique qreat views. Amazing patio! The beer selections are delicious!
Absolutely gorgeous and very cool spot! They have two bars (one upstairs specializing in amazing cocktails and one downstairs featuring Wolf's Ridge's excellent beer) and an absolutely beautiful patio. The drinks and beer are excellent, the place has a great vibe, and they were very friendly and welcoming.
We went at about 7:30 on a Thursday night. We sat in the lounge. It wasn't too crowded. Service was great. The drinks were amazing. We had a Paper Plane, Spritz, and a Paloma. So many flavors and scents in the drinks. We had fun trying to break them down. For food we had Potstickers, Crispy Shrimp, and Hot Cheese Pork Rinds. The food was fantastic but we had to ask for a couple of napkins. When eating small plate finger foods I need a napkin. The Pork Rinds were nothing like I've ever had but so good. Next time we're going to go downstairs and try the full menu and patio.
Food, drink, and atmosphere were great. Lounge on main floor, commons and outdoor patio one floor down. Only dropping 4 ot of 5 because it was a bit pricey.
The scenery and atmosphere was great, but the beer selection is fairly limited-- not everything was available on tap and they poured some of the beers from cans. Hopefully they'll work out some of these supply issues as they're open longer. If your main focus is the beer I'd recommend visiting their main brewery location downtown, as they have a wider selection of Wolf's Ridge beers.
It's a beautiful site and well designed. They are experimenting with how to run a restaurant with very few people and I think they go too far. On the patio, surely one of the nicest dining sites in Columbus, there should be one person dedicated to busing tables. When you arrive, there is no host, no servers, you order at the kitchen, and you are not sure if dishes and napkins left on the tables mean the people left, or are coming back, and what do you do with the stuff if you clear it? The same people who work in the kitchen and bring the food out clear the tables when they have time. The food is meant to be simple too, not complicated to prep, and options limited. You cannot get meatless potstickers, only ones with chicken. The two of us spent over $100, none of the dishes we would order again. When you pay, the tip options are shown with 20% highlighted, which I selected as the usual for me. But food was delivered the same way here as it is at Carver's, go to the window and order and they bring it to your table, that is not worth 20%. But site is terrific!
We went for drinks, the atmosphere was fun (love the school house setting), drinks were top notch. Perfect for date night
Place looks awsome, way to go with design... Food/beverage however need serious attention. Ordered soup/ pudding, not a spoon in site. Flavors bland, almost chipped a tooth on popcorn chocolate pudding. Wine menu could also use polish. Really like the concept, hope they can adjust in time.
The atmosphere here is vibrant and relaxed. I love the layout and the staff. Everyone seems relaxed and efficient. The best drink by far was the paper plane.
Excellent cocktails and service. Really cool space with good music selection. The kinome leaf is a really nice touch as garnish in some drinks. We will definitely be back to try the food.
