I only enjoy extra crispy fish. I requested extra crispy fish but the batter was soggy, wet and fell off the fish.
Great food, friendly servers, and huge portion sizes! There aren’t a lot of vegetarian options here for their mains, but I got the nacho appetizer (meatless) as a main with a small side salad, and it was a ton of food! The side salad was fresh romaine, with cheddar, carrots and a nice vinaigrette, and the nachos were loaded black beans, salsa, cheese and jalapeños. Definitely a step above standard pub fare!
The fish tacos were AMAZING!!! ? everything we ordered was delicious and service was great! Also not badly priced at all. Highly recommend this restaurant ?
I visited because I had seen the great reviews for the Gahanna location (now closed). When I arrived, sign said to wait to be seated. Place was not very busy, but it took a while before anyone even came to seat me. Got a table outside, which is very pleasant, and server brought a menu and a glass of water. Over 5 minutes later, server came back and asked if I was ready to order. I had walked through the bar on the way to the table and noticed a number of different beers on tap. I asked the server what types of beer they had on tap and he was only able to name two. He went back to check and named the same two plus one more and added that there were several others, but he didn't know what they were. He suggested I go to the bar and ask the bartender. I got to the bar and the bartender was not there. At that point I realized I was not going to enjoy the experience and left.
Flavorful seafood selections. Their smoke salmon on the Cesar salad is out is this world. Their potato skins are very delicious. Nice fast friendly service. The bartenders are quick and nice mixers. Convenient parking lot walking distance from the restaurant.
Service was GREAT! Cleanliness could be better as you see dust on lamp directly above food on table. First fries could and salty hard but server immediately brought fresh. Sandwich lacking in cheese.
Great lunch spot in Bexley! Food and service are always awesome. Hard to beat the Friday lunch special of a double cheeseburger, side, and adult beverage for $11.

We took our 3 year old grandson and met my sister at the Franklin Park Conservatory last Thursday (4-7-2022). After our visit we all went to the Old bag of nails pub! The food and service was excellent!! Sadly enough, I do not remember the gentleman's name but he was a young black man. If he sees this review, I hope it makes his day! We are from Athens and we liked this food so well that we are bringing some friends to lunch there in the next two weeks! Thank you! The cod was fantastic, it was the best fish we have had in years~ don't change anything!! See you soon!
Love the traditional and Eddie style fried fish. Received 5 star service. We were advised that a few items are unavailable due to supply chain issues. The food and atmosphere are fabulous!
