Went out of our way to eat here. Located in German town. This gem had one of the best deli sandwiches I have had. All the way down to the pickle on the side. Friendly people and new friends. Definitely worth the trip.
We decided to stop here for lunch today after our original destination was closed, and I'm honestly so happy for the divine intervention. These are some of the best sandwiches I've had since moving to Columbus, and I'm excited to try even more menu items. The salads sounded really tasty, too, and we had some of the BEST chocolate cake I may have ever had in my entire life. I know that sounds hyperbolic, but when my husband took a bite his eyes went all big like a cartoon character. Considering this was a weekday, I can imagine it would be pretty busy on a weekend, so it might be better to get it to go as seating is a bit limited - but that seems to be par for the course in German Village. Tldr; can't wait to come back.
Adorable little place!Its a bit different when ordering since you don’t view the menu at the counter where you order… it’s on the side on a large chalk board. As I sat there eating, I watched 4 people be directed to the menu when they asked about it as I did.I ordered “the village addiction” on gluten free bread. It was sooooo good!! The turkey is paired with creamy havardi cheese and their homemade cranberry mayo! The bread it toasted making it easy to pick up and devour. As a side I got the Broccoli salad which was nicely made as well.Parking was challenging as it is street parking only. But it was well worth the 2 block walk!
My wife and I have made our way through trying about half the menu at Brown Bag and have enjoyed every bite and further look forward to trying most of the menu. Their breads are incredible and the quality of ingredients and combinations thereof are impeccable. I especially recommend, Molly’s Favorite and the Classic Club. I also love the fact that they’re open till 8, not many other delicatessens are usually open that late so it gives one the opportunity to try them for dinner if they so choose.

Started going before COVID and hadn't been back until this weekend. The continue to have fantastic sandwiches. Also, we were the only ones there, so we had plenty of space. I think the superbowl may have been the reason. Great food.
Love the brown bag deli! Can't wait until spring so I can order and sit outside. The best sandwiches and a real value!
I would suggest to come hungry when picking up food from this place. Massive sandwich portion IMO. Sides were fresh but limited selection on dessert options. Would return!
I totally get where they were going with my $11.50 sandwich, as the meat, veg and additional toppings were good. That being said, the sammy was small, and the bread was the most abundant part. I dropped almost $50 with tip and all for a family of three.
I have never been disappointed with the food and delivery from The Brown Bag Deli. Today we did a group order at lunch and not only was the food delivered right at delivery time, but everything was delicious. All who ordered raved about the sandwiches they ordered and how fresh everything was.I ordered the #13 TLC sandwich with cucumber, spinach, tomato, artichokes and spicy hummus. I skipped the olive tapenade since I'm not an olive person. The sandwich was so delicious! Super full of veggies and lots of hummus.This might become my go-to sandwich moving forward.The Brown a Bag Deli is a great place with fantastic service
