The Avenue is one of favorite spots. We travel from Granville so it's a journey. The parking scenario is a real pain. While The Avenue tries to help, the app does not always work, verified by our server, I had to get up 3 times to ask for some help. Needless to say my wife dined alone while I was away avoiding getting a ticket or worse yet, being towed. Street parking is a real challenge so the odds of us returning are slim.
Absolutely love this place. The food is top notch and the service is superb. It has a classic 1930s feel and the music to match it. Definitely a must try!
"I love the relaxed feel of this place â like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The potato-leek soup was amazing and the Bibb lettuce salad was refreshing. The table was split on the monkfish â one person thought it was great, but another felt that the tastes didn't quite mesh. Everyone loved the flat iron steak. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were affordable."
