I am normally a huge supporter of craft cocktail bars. Something about this places energy just doesn’t attract me. Perhaps it’s the way they had Bob Ross and a dirt bike race playing on televisions, a proper cocktail lounge should have the atmosphere to match and this place lacked, felt like a cheapened knockoff. Don’t get me wrong the drinks were great and service was to par, but nothing had a draw to bring me back, it was missing the fine details, my French 75 didn’t come in the proper flute.
This place may be my new favorite cocktail bar. You have 30+ options to choose from, as well as a taste/flavor map to help you decide. They are very fancy and unique cocktails, but the bartenders make them incredibly quickly compared to places like Mouton and Denmark. Most of their cocktails are only $12 which is pretty inexpensive compared to the rest of the fancy cocktail places in the short north. The staff was incredibly knowledgeable about all the different drinks and could recommend what each of us would like based on our typical favorite drinks.Ambience is quiet, dark, and rustic which is a nice break from the rest of that strip of N. High St. This is a perfect pre or post dinner spot for dates.
This is an awesome cocktail bar. The craft cocktails are delicious with a wide selection that will delight those that want a spirit forward drink as well as a milder, approachable cocktail. The whiskey list is impressive and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly.
Would love to give this place a higher rating, but unfortunately there's a big problem with Alibi. You can't actually get in half the time, or at least not on weekends. I hope management reads this cause they really need to get some type of reservation system. Not like reservations ahead of time, but at least to hold your place in line when you come on a Friday night and inevitably there is no room.On one night, we tried to come 3 different times over a 2 hour period and were turned away each time. Why would I try and come back when I know I probably won't get a seat. It's a shame cause I love the atmosphere and the drinks, but until you get some type of system for me to hold a spot in line and get notified when there's availability, I will not come back. Sorry.
This place is sweet. I would consider myself on the upper end of a "social drinker", so coming here feels like a second home. I love Bourbon - they have lots of Bourbon. Service was impeccable - but a free dram of whiskey bourbon shared with a fellow connoisseur highlighting the nuances of local Middle West Spirits and discussing Ohio whiskey comeuppance. Even new guy Jaime was crushing it. Their cocktail chart of drink ability is wicked and offers like 30 speciality cocktails to choose from.
Wow. This place is outstanding. The cocktails are amazing and so creative. Prices are reasonable for such high quality indulgences. The atmosphere is really cozy and has that speakeasy vibe that a good cocktail bar should have, like you’re somewhere special. We were greeted and welcomed right when we walked in the door and the service never let up. I used to live in Chicago and I am so happy to have found a place like this in Columbus! It is on that level. If you’re out on a dinner date in short north, this is the perfect place to come afterwards!
We have been patronizing this hidden gem, since it’s infancy, post the craft beer shop that was once here. Many memories made, pre or post dinner, with family, friends, and clients alike. Bear in mind, that while, yes, it is small, that uniqueness is what lends to the intimacy of the space, and differentiates it from every other bar out there. The menu is vast, varied, and creative. The bartenders / servers are also very helpful in that if you aren’t sure what you’d like, simply mention a spirit of you preference, and they’ll help guide you!
Secret hidden gem serving up creative craft cocktails. They have an awesome menu that separates cocktails by taste profile to help you choose. Great happy hour as well.My favourite drink is the one that’s served in a teacup with a biscuit.
I never met a drink here that I didn’t like. Shout to the staff and their knowledge to answer questions and hit me up with the perfect drink every damn time. ✌?
Really cool spot, a bit small inside but that makes it a hidden gem in my opinion! The menu itself is a good conversation starter and the drinks are innovative and well-thought. Nice to come have a pre or post dinner cocktail with friends, with the energy of downtown outside and a more intimate one inside! I personally enjoyed the music selection as well.
