They did have unique rolls but it was a bit pricey they weren't bad but I have had better maybe I will give it another chance and try something different
This is our favorite sushi restaurant in central Ohio. They have excellent happy hour prices 3pm-6pm Monday through Thursday. The happy hour prices are understandably dine-in only.
This was our first time and we have no complaints. Everything was fresh and delicious. Customer service was very kind and attentive as well. The bento box had enough food for two people. We will definitely return.
The food, the service, nothing short of outstanding. Cynthia was incredible, always made sure not only I, but every table she served was doing OK, kept my drink topped up, and was just all around very friendly. And the food. I've been here a few times here and there over the years, and it's always good, but today was something else. The nigiri (tuna, tamago, eel) was delicious, the cold soba really hit the spot on a hot day, and the tempura was fried perfectly. Please give the cooks a pat on the back from me, because the food was fantastic.
Sushi En never disappoints! I have been coming here for years, and thank goodness they made it through the pandemic! I started eating low carb and was worried I wouldn’t be able to enjoy my favorite sushi place. I called to see if they could make the sushi with no rice and wrapped in cucumber, and the sushi chef was happy to accommodate!I’m able to enjoy my favorite close to home sushi place, and I appreciate the chef for being willing to make the changes without compromising the quality or taste! If you’re in the Polaris area, and enjoy sushi…make this a must stop! Try their signature roll, I couldn’t get it this trip, but hopefully I will be able to in the future.
Awesome food and great service! Best in Columbus!
Really nice little place, good atmosphere. Our sushi was fresh and delicious, and service was fast and courteous. Would definitely eat here again! We were just passing through on a shopping excursion and happened upon this place in Polaris.
Rolls were really good. We always like to try the unique special rolls and these didn’t disappoint. We tried the Sober Monkey, Hawaiian Garden, and the Last Samurai. Also had the spicy crab salad but that was lacking a bit. It needed more sauce as it was only very lightly tossed in the spicy Mayo. Only a couple cucumber pieces at the bottom which it usually my favorite to eat with the crab. We did ask for a side of eel sauce and that helped.
Firing staff for calling off for covid is a little too much for me. Use to go there very frequently but it’s funny that my order was messed up for the second time today, called my friend that I thought worked there and was informed he was fired for being sick with Covid as were several staff. Why you’d want people sick serving guests is beyond me but def not going back. Too bad too bc I use to spend a ton of money there. And just so we’re clear, ginger and wasabi are staples for sushi and this is the second time I didn’t get it. One of my rolls was supposed to have asparagus but that was not what that was, maybe a green bean. One of the rolls has some weird burnt spinach looking thing in it. And the salmon either had some bones or was burnt. So it’s not just about firing people over Covid. Quality of food was just not up to par. ?♀️
For those wanting to venture outside of Kroger sushi a bit, this is a great place to start! Sushi En's menu contains pages of options, which came off a bit intimidating at first until we broke it down into sushi-only. Still was pretty confusing maneuvering through all the pages. We ordered Negimaki $7.95 (beef slices grilled in teriyaki wrapped around asparagus) and the Chicken Yakitori $6.95 (skewered, teriyaki-grilled chicken with peppers & onions) appetizers. Negimaki is always delicious and my go to appetizer at sushi restaurants. I've never had Chicken Yakitori before, so I had no idea what to expect and ended up really impressed with the presentation. However, the chicken tasted really dry and we were happy we tried it!We stuck to only Sushi En Special rolls that were conveniently all on the same page. The tastiest one was the Last Samurai Roll ($15.95), next best was the Monroe Roll ($13.95), and I can't remember the 3rd rolls we tried but it was okay, would avoid next time if I could remember what it was called...Overall, a neat sushi conveniently located right in Polaris and close-by. Definitely will be back to try different sushi!
