Just went there for Father’s Day and it was an amazing experience. The people treated us like royalty, very kind and attentive. We just asked the waitress to pick out dim sum for us and we were not disappointed. I highly recommend the BBQ pork buns and curry beef pasties. We ate more than we should have and the bill was still only $70 for three of us. An amazing experience all around.
This place is OK for dim sum in a pinch. The service was a bit crazy- several waitresses and waiters running up to our table, food didn't come out all together (which would have been fine, but we just figured they forgot our dishes). The bathroom floor was as slippery as a hockey rink (my 4 year old said "look mom, I'm ice skating".Not the traditional dim sum service.
This restaurant is going downhill. Order well over $100 dollar of food with 6 dishes. Duck Beansprout , and Roast Pork Pot TOO SALTY. The String Bean is NOT FRESH and HARD to chew. Talked to Waitress and chef, and they DO NOT CARE! It's all bunch of old workers that treat themselves as boss. When these bunch were younger 20 years ago, they were Attentive and food was the most authentic Hong Kong style in Columbus. NOT anymore. Stay away. More Expensive, and Worse Quality. Also, their Dim SUM is a JOKE too.
If I could give this place a zero I definitely would. do not go here I don’t even do this review stuff but today is the day. They drowned my chicken in sauce I paid 18 dollars for some stuff that’s old the seeds on top look fresher than the chicken don’t even get me started on the crab do you see this. I paid 7 dollars for some crust do not go here at all they don’t care to even replace my order I live 9 minutes away my chicken shouldn’t be mush as if it’s been sitting
Just came from Sunflower, where we have eaten for many years. They charged $10.00 more on our bill than the Duck with Mushrooms in Brown Sauce was listed on the Menu. Charged me $27.95 and on the menu it was listed as $17.95 When I looked at the bill, I asked to see a menu--waitress said right away that the price had gone up and was not right on the menu! I should have been told when I ordered that there had been a price increase--then it would have been my decision to get it or not for that price, and the price should have been changed on the menu. It was not tasty enough to spend $27.95, nor is it a good business practice to do this type of thing to your customer. The waitress was talking to the manager, and he commented the price went up and walked away. Well, I did tip, but not very much, and that is the last time I will recommend this restaurant for anything or step foot in it again. Hunan Lion on Bethel is much better anyhow, and the owners are much nicer.
Mushy general's chicken.... bland fried rice.... a $2.50 egg roll smaller than my thumb..... and to top it off..... the crab Rangoons are nothing but burnt wonton wrappers and won't even break when I hit them onto the table..... and some idiots on here are claiming this place has been around d 30 years.... how???Must be a money laundering scheme or something.
Dim sum awesomeness! I cannot figure out why this place was not slammed full of people. The food was fresh and delicious. Garlic ribs were supreme! Shumai, hot and sour soup, this place was just what we needed!
My last three orders have been inaccurate and missing items. I was told by Danny I can stop in for a free meal- which sweet- hut misses the point. Get the order correct the first time and don’t charge me for delivery. In addition what was delivered was slimy, oily, and not good. I miss the quality this restaurant used to have.
Best kept secret in Columbus. We drive from Bexley, Westerville and Clintonville for dinner.
Although many people rave about this restaurant, I have never understood the hype. There are many Asian restaurants nearby that have entrees that are much more flavorful, and better. I have always found the Sunflower’s food to be very bland and flavorless; and the soups and sauces have a heavy cornstarch texture. But, some people prefer bland, flavorless food… to each their own.
