The food was good but they no longer sell what was my favorite burger.No customer service anymore because you order and pay on a germ infested screen yourself. They call out your order number for food as if your at a cheap casino. The employees I'm sure are doing great but the whole vibe lacks customer service, and that's not the workers fault. Steak and shake seems to be changing from what it used to be and I don't like it anymore. I hope their profits are going up from saving on having to pay for waitresses, but I'm willing to bet that are losing money on the lack of customer service.
AVOID THIS RESTAURANT.After finding a clean table to eat at and waiting for our food, a hot dog, cheeseburger and chili for 15+ minutes, I decided to inquire and while on the way to the grill, saw my meal sitting unattended on a prep counter, spoke to an employee who said they were still working on the chili, then quickly turned and walked away. I then had to find another associate, who prepared (picked up a bowl and ladle) my chili in 30 seconds. AVOID THIS RESTAURANT if you're looking for good service.
I ordered 2 small Strawberry shakes. Their Strawberry shakes used to be vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberries so big you couldn't suck them through the straw. Today's shake was made with Strawberry syrup. Was so sweet and gross we threw them away and went to Dairy Queen.
This place is a joke anymore. They have raised their prices and gotten rid of their servers. They still have dine-in but you have to place your order on a kiosk and they call the number on your receipt then you go up and get your food. Drinks are also self serve. How can they raise their prices then make you do their job??
Another review said the shakes are nolonger made with hand-dipped ice cream and it's noticeable. Now they taste like a Frosty. One less reason to go to Steak and Shake. All tables were dirty. They get two stars only because two people were starting to clean the place as I was leaving. No need to go back to this place.
Waited 45 min in drive thru for my $42 order finally got the food and got home. A whole meal was missing, had to drive back to get the order and had to wait another 10 minutes for them to make it. Food was ok but not worth it. Steak n shake done fell off
Unfortunately my burger meat tonight tasted extremely off. I had my boyfriend try it too and he immediately spit it out. We come here all the time and usually it’s fine. Unfortunately when the manager was contacted, all she said is that she guarantees the meat is fine. We weren’t looking for a refund even. Just trying to spread awareness so no one gets sick. 0/10 customer service. It’s not hard to apologize if an experience isn’t good and take feedback. I have no reason to lie over a $4 meal.
Staff Is Super friendly. You can tell they all get along and actually like their jobs! It was refreshing. Food was delivered quickly, and hot, in the dining room that had just opened! Most definitely a new favorite, and so glad they reopened :)
If I wanted to do everything for myself, I'd stay home and cook. You order electronically, make your own drinks, pick and clean your table and pick up your order. Nobody is working inside by sides the cooks. All the tables were dirty and they were out cups and plastic ware. The food got cold while waiting 10mins for cups/plastic wear. And we finished by cleaning our table and throwing out trash.
Fast drive thru service with 5+ cars in line on a cold evening. Burger & fries prepared as expected - unexpectedly accompanied with pleasant (friendly, upbeat) window cashier attendant.
